Emirates issue major update as flights disrupted from UK to Dubai | World | News

Emirates has warned its passengers they may face disruption as they continue to fly a limited number of flights from the UK to Dubai, and vice versa. The airline has warned it will carry on “a reduced flight schedule” following the closure of the United Arab Emirates airspace after a series of drone attacks by Iran. Several other major airlines, including British Airways, have cancelled all flights into Dubai, with the airline continuing to cancel flights to Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha and Tel Aviv. However, choosing to carry on Dubai routes, Emirates issued an update on its website. Ethiad issues Abu Dhabi flight cancellations update | World | News

All Etihad flights to and from Zayed International Airport have been suspended until 2pm on Tuesday March 3, Etihad Airways has announced in a statement. In its latest update the airline said all flights to and from its base in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, will now remain suspended until tomorrow afternoon. Etihad, like fellow Gulf airlines Emirates and Qatar Airways, mainly serves long-haul travelers, whose plans have been disrupted by the closure of regional airspace. A total of 539 flights from the UK to the Middle East are expected to be grounded in the seven days from March 1, equating to 180,008 seats, according to flight analytics firm Cirium. From now until Saturday, more than 70 UK flights a day are likely to be cancelled. Etihad is advising customers to check their flight status before travelling to the airport and ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking.
