For a vacuum company, Dyson can sometimes feel like nerd church. Its devices are a hive of invention: often cool, always expensive, and sometimes the best (or only) device of their kind. Its line of vacuums in particular offers more features than a ’90s multiplex, and so many models it might as well be Paris during fashion week. As with all high-ticket items, it’s best to buy a Dyson when it’s on sale. Dyson has chosen the depths of winter to offer a good sale on a couple of WIRED’s favorite vacuums and heaters. Dyson’s line is a lot to sort through, but luckily, WIRED has spent years sorting Dyson wheat from Dyson chaff. The $350 sale on Dyson’s budget V8 is a pretty-standard issue deal, easy to find at this price through much of last year. While Netflix seemingly led the way for other streaming networks to create compelling original programming, Hulu actually beat them all to the punch. In 2011, a year before Netflix’s Lilyhammer and two years before the arrival of House of Cards, the burgeoning streamer premiered The Morning After, a pop-culture-focused news show that ran for 800 episodes over three years.
