Do you understand what he means now? Yeah, I understand now. The Man I Love is, for all intents and purposes, an AIDS film. But I love that it’s not necessarily a typical AIDS narrative, where it’s super depressing because someone is dying or super infuriating because it’s overly focused on the prejudice positive people have to face. Jimmy is dying in this film, but the movie seems much more interested in exploring the ways in which he’s amassed this crowd of friends and family who all love and support him and want to help him create one final beautiful thing before he goes. Definitely. Ira was very clear that this is a film about life rather than death. He wanted it to be full of life and joy and the pursuit of pleasure, and not, as you said, what we’re used to in terms of the depiction of this. The working group will host an open discussion, setting out the potential, the problems, and possible directions for AI in psychiatry and neuroscience. Going forward, the group will set out plans to guide the regulation and development of artificial intelligence (AI) in mental health in Europe. Group Chair, Dr Paris Alexandros Lalousis (of King’s College, London) said: “AI is developing at a rapid pace. It offers great opportunities in mental health, but the development of AI also needs to be guided, communicated, and regulated, and this is something that is missing at the moment.  The group will set out a framework for understanding the risks and benefits of applying AI in mental health, with recommendations on how we take the field forward. We are the first group to undertake such a challenge. We will map the field, so that Europe-wide resources are available for researchers to understand who is doing what, who is regulating AI, and so on. Since 2008, departments have been expected to publish a memorandum three to five years after Royal Assent explaining how the legislation has worked. A Commons select committee can then decide whether a fuller inquiry is needed. But the department and committee may agree that no memorandum is required. FairGo, the organisation that I help lead, tested how visible that system is in practice. We examined every substantive Public General Act passed at Westminster between 2008 and 2021 – 311 in all. We counted departmental memoranda, committee inquiries, statutory reports and other formal reviews covering all or part of an act. The project’s first major discovery was the detection of neutrinos from astrophysical sources outside our solar system. One of the most notable sources was TXS 0506+056, located in collaboration with other observatories that collected various gamma-ray, optical, and radio signals. TXS 0506+056 is a high-energy blazar, a galaxy that appears extremely bright and revolves around a supermassive black hole. The researchers looked for other objects with similar characteristics and confirmed that this class of sources is capable of producing high-energy neutrinos. More recently, they have been able to observe the Milky Way as a diffuse source of neutrinos. In addition to astronomy, IceCube has made significant contributions to our understanding of the nature and behavior of these particles. For example, there are three known types of neutrinos, and last year’s Nobel laureates in physics discovered that these particles can transform from one type to another as they travel. In a statement shared with MacRumors today, AT&T said it is “working with Apple” to resolve iPhone 18 Pro Max cellular issues. “Apple has released a software update to address an issue that may affect calls, data, texts, and 911 calls on a small number of Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max phones,” an AT&T spokesperson said. “AT&T customers with an iPhone 18 Pro Max should update their phones now to the latest available software. Our top priority is ensuring customers can stay connected when they need it most, and we are working with Apple to make it right.” As we reported last week, affected iPhone 18 Pro Max users are unable to connect to the AT&T network for phone calls, text messages, or data either persistently or intermittently, and their devices typically enter SOS mode as a result. The underlying cause has not been confirmed, and Apple has yet to publicly comment on the matter.
