Zack Polanski Questions Police Handling Of Golders Green Attack

A row has erupted after Zack Polanski raised concerns about the treatment of the man alleged to have stabbed two Jewish people in broad daylight in London. Shilome Rand, 34, and Moshe Shine, 76, were left seriously injured in what police have described as a terrorist incident in Golders Green on Wednesday. A video of the incident posted on social media shows Metropolitan Police apprehending the man suspected of carrying out the attacks. The man has not been named but has been described as a Somali-born British national with a “history of serious violence and mental health issues”. It has also emerged that he was previously referred to the fovernment’s anti-extremism programme, Prevent. Green Party leader Polanski retweeted a post on X which said: “So essentially [Met commissioner Mark Rowley’s] officers were repeatedly and violently kicking a mentally ill man in the head when he was already incapacitated by taser.” A Green Party source told HuffPost UK: “Zack has seen the video like everyone else, and doesn’t know the full picture and knows it was …

Zack Polanski has a bizarre ‘personal appeal’ – one surprising number proves it | Politics | News

Zack Polanski has led the Green to polling success (Image: Getty) Whatever happened to Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters? There was a time when they turned out in droves to hear the Lefty ex-Labour leader speak, chanting his name and dreaming of a better tomorrow. It nearly made him prime minister. Close to 13million people voted Labour in 2017, when Mr Corbyn was in charge, while just 9.7million backed Labour in the 2024 General Election that put Sir Keir into No 10. So it’s a little surprising that Mr Corbyn’s new party, the bizarrely named Your Party, has made little impact. Instead, Left-wingers, including many former Corbynites, are backing the Green Party, led by the charismatic Zack Polanski. Examples include Jennie Formby, the former general secretary of the Labour Party in the Corbyn era, who recently announced she was defecting to the Greens. Another high-profile convert is feisty journalist Owen Jones, once Mr Corbyn’s staunchest defender in the media and now a Polanski fan. They’re just the tip of the iceberg. The Green Party won 6.7% of …

Starmer Urged To Ban US Jets At RAF Bases

Starmer Urged To Ban US Jets At RAF Bases

Keir Starmer has been urged to ban US jets from flying any missions from RAF bases following Donald Trump’s threat to destroy Iranian civilisation. The US president made the astonishing threat as the deadline he has given for Tehran to re-open the Strait of Hormuz approaches. In a post on Truth Social, he said: “A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.” Starmer initially turned down Trump’s request to use British bases to launch missions against Iranian targets at the start of the war. However, US jets are now allowed to use the bases for “defensive” strikes on Iranian missile launch sites. Green Party leader Zack Polanski said those should also be banned in light of Trump’s latest threats. Posting on X, he said: “The UK must immediately and unequivocally suspend support for the US military. The government have tried to appease him, then they tried to say they’re standing up to him. Words aren’t enough – it’s time for action.” …

Zack Polanski in furious row with journalist who says ‘your family are disgusted!’ | Politics | News

Polanski hit out at media coverage of him (Image: Getty) Green Party leader Zack Polanski’s family are “disgusted” with him due to “the Jew hate” in his party, it has been claimed. Journalist Nicole Lampert made the claims on X after Mr Polanski attacked her for a piece she wrote for The Daily Mail, which saw her speak to estranged family members of the former Liberal Democrat. The piece purports to have spoken to three family members of Mr Polanski who suggested he had placed his political ambition above his loyalty to his community and roots. It comes as the party is set to declare Zionism as racism at its spring conference on Saturday. Under the motion, which will be voted on by members, the Greens would become an explicitly anti-Zionist party, reject key definitions of anti-Semitism that equate anti-Zionism with Jew-hatred, impose sanctions on Israel and endorse “resistance and liberation from Israeli occupation” – language critics say effectively backs Hamas attacks. Nigel Farage fury over election whitewash police probe | Politics | News

Nigel Farage (Image: Getty) Nigel Farage has hit out at Greater Manchester Police’s decision to conclude a probe into so-called family voting in the Gorton and Denton by-election after finding no evidence of the illegal practice. The Reform UK leader claimed there had been an “establishment whitewash” after the force said there was “no remaining reasonable line of inquiry” following an investigation. Election observer group Democracy Volunteers said it had witnessed “concerningly high levels” of family voting, whereby a person enters a polling booth with someone else or otherwise directs their vote. Reform UK, whose candidate Matt Goodwin came second with 28.7% of the vote to the Green Party’s Hannah Spencer, who won with 40.7%, reported this to GMP. Greens Leapfrog Labour Into Second Place In New Poll

Greens Leapfrog Labour Into Second Place In New Poll

The Green Party has leapfrogged Labour into second place across the UK in the wake of the party’s stunning victory in the Gorton and Denton by-election, according to a new poll. The YouGov survey for Sky News and The Times put the party on 21% after their support surged by four points in the past week. The pollster said it was the highest level of support for the Greens that they have ever recorded. The party is now just two points behind Reform UK, who are on 23%, and five points ahead of Labour, who slumped by two points to just 16%. The Tories are also on 16% after falling two points, while the Lib Dems are unchanged on 14%. A YouGov spokesman said: “This is the highest we’ve had the Greens and the first time we’ve had them in second. It is also the lowest we have had Labour. “In terms of how meaningful this is, it is obviously likely driven to a significant extent by the publicity from the Denton and Gorton by-election, …
