Reform UK's Zia Yusuf Slammed For Calling Tory And Labour Politicians 'Traitors'

Reform UK spokesperson for Home Affairs Zia Yusuf speaks during a press conference on migration policy on April 20, 2026 in the Westminster area of London, England. Zia Yusuf has been called out after describing Tory and Labour politicians as “traitors” in a provocative social media post.  The Reform spokesperson for home affairs wrote on X: “Recent events demonstrate why I view the Tory and Labour politicians who created the burning injustice of modern Britain as traitors to their country. “A reckoning is coming.” It’s not entirely clear if he is referring to any particular “burning injustice”. Social media quickly responded by slapping down his claim and slamming his controversial remarks. Many people also questioned his attack on the Conservatives, considering Reform have accepted more than two dozen former Tory MPs into their ranks in recent years. I didn’t vote for either of the winners of the last two General Elections but “traitors” for whom a “reckoning is coming”? Really? This very excitable, angry & hyperbolic man should be nowhere near a position of responsibility …

Zia Yusuf Unveils ‘Abhorrent’ Plans To Punish Areas Which Do Not Vote Reform

British Reform party leader Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf, left, speak during a press conference in a hangar at Oxford Airport in Kidlington, England, Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025. via Associated Press Reform UK has been slammed after it revealed a new policy to put migrant detention facilities in constituencies and councils not controlled by its own representatives. Days out from the local elections in England, and devolved elections in Wales and Scotland, Reform’s home affairs spokesperson Zia Yusuf declared that a Reform government would “deport all illegal migrants in Britain”. While waiting to be deported, the migrants would be housed in detention centres for a “couple of weeks”. Yusuf claimed: “A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP. “Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council. “And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres.” Yusuf said this meant if Reform representatives were voted in, they would “guarantee you won’t have a …

Reform Zia Yusuf Criticises You Gov As Poll Numbers Drop

A senior Reform UK official has launched an outspoken attack on YouGov as the party stalls in the opinion polls. Zia Yusuf, Reform’s home affairs spokesman, said the pollster “will lose all credibility and their business will die” if the party outperforms expectations in May’s elections. His comments came after YouGov said it would publish more data about how it reaches its voting intention (VI) figures. The company’s polls have tended to show support for Reform at a lower level than other pollsters, with their most recent one putting the party on 23%. In a post on X, Yusuf said: “YouGov has lost a stunning 89% of its value in just over 4 years. Now they’ve stuck their neck out to prop up the cadaver of the Tory Party. “If Reform wins more than 23% of the vote share in May, their polls will lose all credibility and their business will die.” YouGov has lost a stunning 89% of its value in just over 4 years. Now they’ve stuck their neck out to prop up …

Ms Badenoch said she had found out he was plotting to defect in “a way designed to be as damaging as possible” and then sacked him. Robert Jenrick was sacked earlier this week over his plot to defect to Reform (Image: Getty) Robert Jenrick joining Reform “makes it more likely” Nigel Farage will win the next election, his former rival said. Zia Yusuf, who repeatedly criticised the former immigration minister’s record in Government, said Mr Jenrick is “clear eyed about all of the different ways the Tories betrayed this country”. And Mr Yusuf revealed Reform UK leader Mr Farage is deciding on what role Mr Jenrick will play “now”. The policy chief also declared “there isn’t space for two centre right parties in this country”, as the fight to secure the keys to Downing Street intensifies. Asked if he was involved in the negotiations, Mr Yusuf told Sky News’ Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips: “Well, look, the most important thing about Robert’s arrival at Reform is that I had dinner with him on Thursday night, obviously the day he defected, my assessment is that this is a man who is thoughtful, who is clear eyed about all of the different ways …

Reform’s Zia Yusuf Sparks Reactions After BBC Confrontation

Reform’s head of policy Zia Yusuf startled BBC Question Time audience members on Thursday with his curt response to a question. During an immigration special, one member of the crowd took issue with the anti-immigration party’s claim that there are enough people in the UK to “not need foreign doctors”. The man in the audience said: “I joined the NHS as a student in 1974. We’ve been totally reliant on doctors from Asia initially, and the care sector is totally dependent on care workers from abroad, despite nine million people not being in work.” He said population growth and a shortage of funds for hospitals has gone down, telling Yusuf: “So you’re conflating lots of different things to make your argument.” He pointed out that Reform has promised migrant workers will lose their indefinite leave to remain if they get into government. “So if you’ve worked as a care worker in nursing home for 40 years, you are already since last year not allowed to bring your children over,” the man said. “When you get …
