Gracie Abrams Shares Intimate Photos to Celebrate Paul Mescal’s Birthday

Gracie Abrams celebrated the birthdays of two special people in her life Monday with a photo tribute: partner Paul Mescal turned 30 on the same day as Abrams’ childhood best friend Clementine, whom she affectionately calls Clemmy. The singer used one post to salute both of her personal VIPs, sharing a series of photos of moments spent with each, and all three together. She captioned the sweet post, With all my heart!!!!!!!!!!! I love February 2. Happy Birthday. I love you both more than words can ever describe. Thank you for making everything better.”

She included a black-and-white photobooth strip of herself and Mescal sharing a kiss, and other intimate moments like a candlelight dinner and a relaxing couch cuddle. In one photo, the two mug in matching Boston Red Sox caps, and in another, they share a smooch in an empty stadium.

Abrams soundtracked the post with Paul McCartney‘s song “Calico Skies,” which he wrote for his late wife. Beyond the message of love, the music choice is a subtle sign of support for Mescal, who has been cast to play McCartney in Sam Mendes‘ upcoming film series The Beatles. Despite their very successful careers, Abrams and Mescal seem able to find some time for themselves and support each other in their respective projects. As a source told People in April 2025, “Despite their busy schedules, the couple is making each other a priority. There’s no denying the strong chemistry between Paul and Gracie, true lovebirds.”

Recently interviewed by GQ, Mescal opened up about slowing down his work schedule to have more time to spend with Abrams: “I’ve really enjoyed the rhythm that I’ve been working at,” he said of his younger years. “I think this process started when I was 23 years old and I’m now turning 30. I can feel myself wanting to slow down a bit more and certain priorities come in where I spend my time, whether that’s with my family, or my partner, or with my friends.” He also confessed to a new passion: “I take baseball very seriously now,” he said. “Last year I went to my first major league baseball game at Fenway Park. I’m a Red Sox fan.”
