Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (30 April), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.
Emmerdale’s newest villain Dr Todd strikes again tonight as she spreads malicious lies about Jacob Sugden.
Despite agreeing to call a truce with her young protégé, ruthless Todd can’t resist reigniting their feud as she seeks to destroy his reputation.
Jacob is currently on paternity leave following the heartwarming arrival of baby Leyla, and has been looking forward to a fresh start with Todd upon his return to work.

However, as the colleagues keep bumping into each other in the village, Todd starts to subtly make Jacob aware that his problems aren’t over.
At the café, Todd is intrigued when she hears Jacob and Sarah telling friends and neighbours that Leyla has been keeping them awake all night.
Cornering Jacob for a quiet word, Todd inappropriately asks him whether he feels “excluded and pushed out” now everyone’s focus is on Leyla and Sarah.
Later at the pub, Todd tries to involve herself again by offering to help with Leyla, but she gets short shrift from Jacob.
Venting to Manpreet and Vanessa afterwards, Todd complains: “He’s apologised, so I thought we were moving on. And now he goes and pulls stunts like that.”

A baffled Manpreet points out that Jacob isn’t doing anything more than visiting his local pub, but Todd replies: “It’s much more sinister than that. This morning, when we met at the café, he engineered it so that we could talk to each other alone. And now he’s here, taking up my space.”
Todd’s lies prove that she has no intention of keeping the peace with Jacob, as she wants to make him pay for making a complaint about her to the HR department at the hospital.
Jacob has since withdrawn his accusations, but upcoming episodes see him regret backing down so easily – and Todd may already have the upper hand…
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
