Budget FPL forward – Dominic Calvert-Lewin (LEE) £6m
Strikers don’t come cheap but if you’re looking for a value pick up top, Leeds United frontman Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be the answer.
The target man plays a lot of minutes for the Whites and showed his quality last season, finishing fifth on the FPL scoring charts among strikers.
Mid-price FPL forward – Joao Pedro (CHE) £7.5m
Joao Pedro looks hungry. The Chelsea striker is rested and raring to go after missing out on the Brazil World Cup squad and has been in fantastic form in pre-season.
The Blues have no European football this term and the 24-year-old is Xabi Alonso’s clear first choice up top so he should play a lot of Premier League minutes and earn your side plenty of points.
Premium FPL forward – Erling Haaland (MNC) £15.5m
It’s hardly groundbreaking but the truth of the matter is that Erling Haaland is the best goalscorer in the Premier League and as close to guaranteed goals as you’re ever going to get.
That comes at a premium, however, and the Man City marksman begins this season as the most expensive player in FPL history. That is no reason to ignore him and is unlikely to put off many fantasy managers.
