Ciara showcased her growing baby bump in a sheer black lace dress at the BoF 500 gala in Paris, following a surprise appearance on the runway earlier that day.

The singer, 40, chose a fitted design with a plunging neckline and delicate straps for the October 3 celebration, revealing her bump beneath the floral lace. Her evening appearance followed a turn modelling Junya Watanabe’s spring/summer 2027 collection during Paris Fashion Week. 

Ciara’s dress featured black satin bra panels and matching briefs beneath its transparent fabric, with gathered detailing around the waist and hips.

The lace skirt fell below her knees, leaving her pointed black patent heels on display. An oversized sparkling cross pendant, layered chains and a statement ring completed the look.

Her long hair fell in loose waves, with honey-blonde lengths framing her face. Smoky eye makeup, glossy nude lipstick and a pale manicure added the finishing touches.

Ciara’s surprise runway appearance

Earlier in the day, the “Level Up” singer had embraced a very different look for her catwalk appearance.

Ciara wore a purple cropped top and coordinating leggings with pink accents, pairing the outfit with red boots. Her runway wardrobe also included a trench coat and a dramatic crystal headpiece with cascading strands that created a chandelier effect around her upper body. 

The singer’s fitted evening dress gave photographers another glimpse of her pregnancy as she posed against the gala’s grey backdrop.

Preparing to welcome baby number five

Ciara announced her pregnancy on September 6, sharing photographs and videos with her husband, Russell Wilson. “One more person to love,” she wrote alongside the announcement.

The couple posed beside a clothesline displaying shirts bearing their children’s names, with a small white onesie representing their newest addition.

The baby will be Ciara’s fifth child and her fourth with Russell. They already share daughters Sienna and Amora and son Win, while Ciara is also mother to son Future Zahir from her previous relationship with rapper Future.

Ciara and Russell married in 2016 and celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary earlier this year. Their youngest daughter, Amora, arrived in December 2023.

What Ciara has said about motherhood

Before announcing her pregnancy, Ciara had spoken about the possibility of expanding their family again. “I love being a mom. It’s my favorite job of all,” she told Us Weekly.

The singer explained that Russell had raised the prospect of another baby shortly after Amora’s birth. Although she initially encouraged him to enjoy the moment with their newborn, Ciara said she could imagine welcoming another child.

Ciara has continued performing as her family prepares for its newest member, bringing her sense of humour to the stage.

“This baby up here bouncin’ around,” she joked during a recent performance, according to BCK Online. “This mama gonna stay movin’,” she added.
