Prince Harry is due to make an appearance on the show After Hours alongside his close friend, James Corden, in a few days’ time. The news was confirmed by the former Late Late Show host on an episode of the programme, which sees Corden join football stars to discuss the FIFA World Cup.
In a recent clip from the show, Corden can be seen sitting with stars, including former England footballer Rio Ferdinand, as they rank well-known figures named Harry, including Prince Harry and Harry Potter.
Mr Corden then says: “Prince Harry is coming on the show in a few weeks’ time, and we’ll discuss this,” referring to the ranking of well-known figures who share his name.
It has been widely reported that the couple are planning to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for the first time since June 2022 as they return to attend One Year to Go events for the Invictus Games in Birmingham. It was also claimed the family had been offered a royal residence to stay in, although this was not officially confirmed by Palace officials.
However, after Harry’s bid to secure enhanced security provisions was rejected, it was confirmed that the Duke continues to consider “all options” to allow his wife and children to accompany him.
In the statement, the spokesperson began: “Prince Harry’s programme in the United Kingdom includes both public and private engagements across the country. Safe accommodation is only one element of an effective protective security plan because risk follows the person, not the place… The Duke continues to explore every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK.”
Giving an update on his son, Harry said: “My son is now over a year and a half. He is hysterical. He’s got the most amazing personality. He’s already putting two or three words together, and he’s already singing songs.”
He added: “His first word was ‘crocodile’, three syllables.”
The Duke then went on to reveal his late grandmother’s special Christmas gift saying: “Interestingly, my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker, she sent us a waffle maker for Archie…
“So breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix in the waffle maker, flips it, and out it comes, he loves it. Archie literally wakes up in the morning and says ‘waffle’.”
