Emergency services were called to the shore on Albert Road at approximately 3.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday (May 25) following concerns raised over the safety of a 15-year-old girl. Merseyside Police released a statement on Saturday, May 30, identifying the girl as Chiedza Nyanjowa. Two people have died and four others injured after being involved in a crash in Co. Donegal. Those who have suffered injuries are being treated in hospital. The two-vehicle collision occurred on the N15 in Birchhill, Co. Donegal on Saturday afternoon. Gardai and emergency services attended the scene after they were alerted to the incident shortly after 2pm, reports Irish Mirror. Two occupants in one vehicle, a man aged in his 20s and a man ages in his 30s, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Their remains have been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital where postmortem examinations will take place in due course. The Coroner has been notified. ORLANDO, Fla. — Environmental groups say that the timing of the expected closure of an immigration detention center in the middle of the Florida Everglades, likely in the next month or two, is no accident because it will come as their lawsuit challenging its existence returns to a federal judge who had previously ordered it shut down. A federal appellate court decided last month to keep open the detention center nicknamed “Alligator Alcatraz,” for the time being, blocking a lower court decision ordering it to wind down operations. But the case was sent back to the lower court judge who now gets jurisdiction over the lawsuit as the litigation over the facility’s fate continues. “Knowing that the same district judge who previously enjoined the operation would soon reassume oversight — the defendants are now effectively waving the white flag,” said Paul Schwiep, an attorney for the environmental groups that had sued, saying the facility’s construction hadn’t undergone a required environmental review. JAKARTA: Indonesia’s transport ministry has formed a special team to investigate the involvement of a Green SM electric taxi in a train collision that killed 16 people near Jakarta on Monday night (Apr 27). The taxi was crossing the tracks along Jalan Ampera – a narrow potholed road in Jakarta’s neighbouring city of Bekasi – when it broke down and was hit by a train approaching the nearby East Bekasi Station. Train operator Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) instructed a second commuter train travelling in the opposite direction to remain at East Bekasi Station, but a third train travelling from Jakarta to Surabaya in East Java crashed into the stationary commuter train, crushing passengers who were in a packed all-female carriage at the rear.   The probe will examine key aspects of the taxi operator’s operations, Director-General of Land Transport Aan Suhanan said on Tuesday. Jakes, is recovering after suffering a neck fracture that she said almost paralyzed her in mid-April. Jakes Roberts, 37, a popular conference speaker, author and co-senior pastor with her husband at The Potter’s House church, posted on social media that she was injured during an accident while playing with her daughter on a trampoline and was hospitalized. “Last night was scary.
