3 min read1 hr Conservative MP James Cleverly has revealed that he is being forced out of his rented home in his constituency, blaming government reforms to the rental sector that will take effect next month. Speaking to PoliticsHome, the shadow housing secretary, himself a former landlord, said that the Renters’ Rights Act was forcing “good landlords” like his in Essex out of the market. The reforms, which ministers describe as the most significant changes to renting brought in by a UK government, include the banning of “no-fault” evictions, meaning landlords must provide a valid legal reason for eviction, the ending of fixed-term contracts, and putting a stop to “bidding wars” which result in tenants paying more than the advertised price. Lucid Group finished 2025 on an upswing — building twice as many EVs as the previous year and reporting a 55% uptick in sales. Then the first quarter of 2026 arrived. The company, which makes the Air sedan and Gravity SUV, reported Friday that it sold 3,093 vehicles in the first quarter, a 42% drop from the previous quarter and about 0.5% lower than the same period last year. It had built many more, about 5,500 in total. Lucid said the sales dip, and the gap between production and deliveries, is not a demand problem. Instead, the company blames a supplier quality issue with its second-row seats, which disrupted deliveries of the Lucid Gravity for 29 days. The supplier issue also prompted Lucid to recall more than 4,000 Gravity SUVs. Lucid told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it discovered some of the anchors for the SUV’s second-row seat belts were not properly welded. The European Union’s cybersecurity agency said Thursday that a recent hack and data breach at the EU’s executive body was the work of a cybercriminal group known as TeamPCP.  In a new report, CERT-EU also reported that the hackers stole around 92 gigabytes of compressed data from a compromised Amazon Web Services (AWS) account used by the bloc’s executive, the European Commission, which included personal data containing names, email addresses, and the contents of emails.  The breach affected the cloud infrastructure of the Commission’s Europa.eu platform, which member states use to host websites and publications of the bloc’s institutions and agencies. CERT-EU wrote that the data of at least 29 other EU entities may be affected, and that dozens of internal European Commission clients could have had data stolen as well.  The stolen data was then posted online by another hacking group, the notorious ShinyHunters.  While the size of the data breach is itself notable, the cyber agency’s attribution blaming two separate hacking groups for the same incident is unusual.
