JD Vance Blames 'Mass Invasion Of Migrants' For Henry Nowak's Murder

Vice President JD Vance during the graduation ceremony Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Air Force Academy, Colo.. (AP Photo/David Zalubowski) JD Vance has blamed “the mass invasion of migrants” for the murder of Henry Nowak. The US vice-president said the teenager’s death “is as tragic as it is enraging” in a thinly-veiled attack on Keir Starmer’s government. Eighteen-year-old Henry was handcuffed and arrested by police as he lay dying after being wrongly accused of racism by his killer, Vickram Digwa. Digwa, who is a British-born Sikh, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 21 years at Southampton Crown Court on Monday. The case has sparked a furious political row, with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage being condemned by the PM and Kemi Badenoch for claiming it is proof of “two-tier policing” in the UK. In a post on X, vance said: “Henry Nowak died the same way a civilisation dies: abandoned, handcuffed by authorities who neither trusted nor cared for him, and accused of hate crimes he did not commit. “His murder is …

Mexico’s Sheinbaum Escalates Rhetoric Against U.S., Blames Far-Right ‘Offensive’

Mexico’s Sheinbaum Escalates Rhetoric Against U.S., Blames Far-Right ‘Offensive’

MEXICO CITY, June 1 (Reuters) – Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Monday that far-right sectors in the United States are coordinating with domestic groups to attack her government, escalating her rhetoric against Mexico’s ‌largest trading partner. The remarks follow ‌a weekend rally where Sheinbaum denounced alleged interference by U.S. government agencies and business interests. “I believe it is sectors of the far right in the United States who want a bad relationship with Mexico” because of “ideological” differences, Sheinbaum told a press conference. The leftist president said she does not believe the attacks are being orchestrated by her U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump. Relations between the two nations have been strained since Trump began his second term in January, fueled by disputes over tariffs and immigration policies. Tensions escalated in April after the U.S. Department of Justice indicted 10 Mexican officials, including Sinaloa Governor Ruben Rocha of the ruling Morena party, for alleged ties to drug trafficking. Following the U.S. indictments of Morena politicians, Sheinbaum has intensified her calls to protect national sovereignty. “Who decides …

Newsom blames Chevron for California’s gas-price problem

Newsom blames Chevron for California’s gas-price problem

The blame game over surging gas prices is heating up as Gov. Gavin Newsom suggested Chevron could be gouging its customers. California’s governor, who is not shy about promoting his positions with provocative posts, warned Memorial Day travelers on X against pumping gas at Chevron. “Californians, if you’re hitting the road this holiday weekend, be sure to AVOID Chevron,” he said in the post, which included screen grabs showing Chevron gas prices higher than those at nearby unbranded gas stations. “Unbranded gas comes from the same refineries, storage tanks, and pipelines.” The governor’s call-out is part of a larger spat between some California politicians and Chevron. The gas company posted signs at some of its California gas stations blaming the state’s high prices on Sacramento policies. “California politicians are choosing foreign oil and fuels over local jobs and lower costs,” the signs read. It includes a QR code that directs people to a Chevron webpage asking people to “speak up for affordable, reliable energy.” A spokesperson for Chevron did not immediately respond to a request …

Congress created the Office of Immigration Detention Ombudsman (OIDO) in 2019 to investigate detainee deaths, detainee access to medical care, and employee misconduct, among other issues. In a statement to NPR, DHS said the office shut down because of the current funding lapse in Congress targeting immigration enforcement. Congress last week finally ended the longest agency shutdown in U.S. history, agreeing to fund most parts of DHS — but excluding some immigration enforcement functions. “DHS did not shut down the Office of Immigration Detention Ombudsman—Congress did,” DHS said in a statement to NPR. “The House passed the DHS appropriations bill without objection, and it was …

Germany blames Brexit for blocking extradition of Madeleine suspect | UK | News

Brexit has effectively blocked any attempt to bring Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner to trial in Britain, German officials have confirmed, dealing a blow to hopes of justice for the missing toddler, the Express understands. A spokesman for the German government explained the country’s post-war constitution bars the extradition of suspects to nations outside the EU. Asked whether Brexit had sealed Brueckner’s fate, the spokesman said: “Yes, that is the case.” Article 16 of the German constitution states that “no German may be extradited to a foreign country” — carving out only EU member states and bodies such as The Hague. German officials say extraditions to Britain have been “generally precluded by German constitutional law” since the UK left the EU. Prior to Brexit, the European Arrest Warrant allowed British authorities to secure the automatic transfer of suspects from Germany with few legal obstacles. The findings emerge days after Scotland Yard’s ambition to prosecute Brueckner on British soil over the toddler’s disappearance emerged – and cast serious doubt over whether the 49-year-old convicted paedophile will …

Woman Blames Manosphere Culture For Man Not Being Able To Plan A Date

Woman Blames Manosphere Culture For Man Not Being Able To Plan A Date

Modern men are not exactly known for being great planners who are always ready to take initiative. One woman learned this for herself after almost going on a date with a man who really couldn’t care less. Some have begun using the term “heterofatalism” to describe the uncomfortable situation heterosexual women find themselves in when they want to date men but also want those men to make an effort. It seems like their complete lack of ability could be blamed on harmful, misogynistic attitudes. A woman had a ‘deeply unsettling experience’ when she tried to go on a date with a new man. Molly Bowes shared screenshots of text messages between them as evidence on her Threads account. Bowes noted the man was 32, implying that he should be mature enough to handle this kind of situation by now. The texts tell a different story. Bowes and the unnamed man decided they would meet up for ice cream. “Where and what time?” she asked, as any normal person would. He responded, “I haven’t thought about …
