French energy giant TotalEnergies is embroiled in a lawsuit between seven US states and the federal government as the administration of President Donald Trump upends domestic energy policy, shutting down some wind energy projects while pushing fossil fuels. It has also raised questions about the predictability of the business and investment environment under a president who has peddled back many policies that were set up under his predecessor, President Joe Biden, a Democrat, including on investing in renewable energy. LIEGE, Belgium, June 4 : The Democratic Republic of Congo’s squad were heading to Spain on Thursday to continue their World Cup preparations and still hope to go ahead with their planned friendly against Chile next week, coach Sebastien Desabre said. The Congolese drew 0-0 with Denmark on Wednesday in a World Cup warm-up friendly at the end of a 10-day training camp in Belgium and are looking for an alternative venue for their match against Chile after the Spanish town of La Linea de la Concepcion prohibited the match from taking place there due to the African nation’s Ebola outbreak. The mayor took the decision even though the Congolese team have been preparing for the tournament in Belgium and almost all of their players and staff are based in Europe. “We want to play the game and now we are looking for an alternative which we are confident we will find, even if we have to play the game behind closed doors,” Desabre said. The Church of St. Francis Xavier and Xavier High School are proud to provide a new home for the exhibition in support of Leeper and the way his work provokes, examines, and seeks to deepen the relationship between faith, culture, and a life of prayer. First, let’s establish two things. One: Michael, the biopic sanctioned by the Michael Jackson estate that opened Friday, is almost certain to make an enormous amount of money. The movie’s currently on track for a $70 million opening in North America alone, and could make $80 million (or more) internationally. And that’s just in its first weekend. These aren’t Thriller numbers, but they’re certainly healthy, particularly in the wake of several recent movies about musicians that crashed and burned both critically and commercially. Two: At least five boys, now men, have credibly and publicly accused Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were between the ages of 7 and 12. How can both of these things be true at the same time? Filmmaker Dan Reed has a simple explanation. “People don’t care that he was a child molester,” he told The Hollywood Reporter this week. “Literally, people just don’t care.” He’s right.
