Major star Peabo Bryson dies aged 75

Disney legend and R&B icon Peabo Bryson passed away on June 2 surrounded by his family, after suffering a stroke days prior. The 75-year-old, best known for his Disney collaborations, “transitioned peacefully at 5:00 p.m. ET,” according to a statement from his representative.  “We are tremendously moved by the outpouring of love, prayers and support from fans, friends, and colleagues around the world,” his family said. “While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing how deeply Peabo was loved and how many lives were touched by his voice and his generous spirit. A word-of-mouth downtown hit, Titaníque bears more than a passing resemblance to another buzzy show that made it to Broadway, the Tony-winning Oh, Mary! Both projects take a particularly tragic moment in the nation’s history—in this case, the sinking of the Titanic—and tell the story from a different, kookier perspective. But unlike its Broadway predecessor, Titaníque has more than just American history to mine for comedy—it also lampoons James Cameron’s 1997 Oscar-winning blockbuster, Titanic, starring a young Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio as star-crossed lovers Rose and Jack. As if that weren’t enough, Titaníque also dares to ask this question: What if Céline Dion, the iconic French Canadian chanteuse who sang the movie’s timeless anthem, “My Heart Will Go On,” were actually aboard the Titanic in 1912? Celine Dion has had a wonderful life and her career has taken her to some fabulous places. The “My Heart Will Go On” hitmaker has been feeling nostalgic over the past few days and sharing a series of throwback photos from her travels, including a recent picture series from a trip to New York City back in 2020. The photos captivated her followers due to her bold – and stylish – outfit choice, which received many compliments from fans. The award-winning singer looked chic in a white oversized polo sweater embroidered with an intricate beaded flower, teamed with a voluminous pink floral puffball skirt.  A pair of leg-lengthening statement white heeled boots completed the ensemble. It may only be March, but Celine Dion is already looking towards summer. The Canadian hitmaker sent fans wild with a series of swimsuit-clad photos she shared on Instagram, showing herself on a luxury yacht.  The post featured throwbacks from 2008 when Celine was at sea, soaking up the sunshine as she posed in a blue one-piece with the sun pouring down on her  Celine, 57, captioned the dreamy post: “Outfits I can’t wait to wear again… Who else is excited for summer?” She added the year and location of the photos: “Gérard Schachmes (2008 – Cape Town),” she wrote.  Fans commented: “Oh my,” remarking on her tanned and toned physique and lush surroundings. Céline Dion shared an emotional tribute to her late husband, René Angélil, on Wednesday, marking the tenth anniversary of his death. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer took to Instagram to share a snap of a piano with René’s photo sitting atop it.
