Yet Another Dead NASA Scientist: Nuclear Propulsion Expert Was Found Charred Inside Crashed Tesla

Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, The case of yet another top NASA nuclear engineer turning up dead in a fiery crash has hit the headlines, adding to the dark and mysterious pattern of experts tied to advanced propulsion and space secrets apparently being targeted. Joshua LeBlanc, 29, a team lead on NASA’s most cutting-edge nuclear thermal propulsion projects, was found charred beyond recognition inside his burned Tesla after vanishing from his Huntsville, Alabama home. His family immediately feared abduction. He left his phone and wallet behind—an act they called completely uncharacteristic. Tesla Sentry Mode data later showed the vehicle sat motionless at Huntsville International Airport for four hours the morning of July 22, 2025. The car was discovered that afternoon after colliding with a guardrail, slamming into trees, and erupting in flames. Authorities confirmed his identity days later through forensic examination. A NASA nuclear scientist was found deceased in his Tesla after colliding with a guardrail, leaving his body so burned that he was completely unrecognizable, according to a new report from Fox News. 29-year-old Joshua LeBlanc, who …

Maryland Settles With Owner and Operator of Ship That Crashed Into Baltimore’s Key Bridge

Maryland Settles With Owner and Operator of Ship That Crashed Into Baltimore’s Key Bridge

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland has reached a settlement with the owner and operator of the massive cargo ship that crashed into a Baltimore bridge two years ago, causing its deadly collapse, state officials announced Thursday. The settlement in principle was reached with Grace Ocean Private Limited and Synergy Marine Pte Ltd, owner and operator of the M/V Dali, Attorney General Anthony Brown said. The settlement resolves a portion of the state’s claims arising from the ship’s March 26, 2024, crash into the Francis Scott Key Bridge. “For two years, Maryland workers, families, and communities have carried the weight of a disaster that should never have happened,” Brown said in a news release. It did not give details of the settlement. The attorney general noted that the Dali’s crash into the bridge “disrupted the Port of Baltimore, devastated livelihoods, and sent economic shockwaves across our State that are still being felt today.” “Our work is not finished, but this settlement is an important step toward making Maryland whole,” Brown said. The companies confirmed in a …

My Tesla Was Driving Itself Perfectly—Until It Crashed

My Tesla Was Driving Itself Perfectly—Until It Crashed

The smell was strange. Sharp. Chemical. Wrong. The concrete wall was too close. My glasses were gone. One of my kids was standing on the sidewalk next to our car—not crying, just confused. The seat belt had held. The crumple zone had crumpled. The airbag had fired. Everything designed to protect bodies had done its job. But the car, a Tesla Model X, was totaled. Explore the April 2026 Issue Check out more from this issue and find your next story to read. View More One Sunday last fall, my kids and I were on a drive we’d done hundreds of times, winding through the residential streets of the Bay Area to drop my son off at his Boy Scouts meeting. The Tesla was in Full Self-Driving mode, driving perfectly—until it wasn’t. What happened next, I’ve had to piece together. My memory is hazy, and some of it comes from one of my sons, who watched the whole thing unfold from the back seat. The car was making a turn. Something felt off—the steering wheel …

Driver who crashed while gambling on mobile is jailed after pregnant woman suffered premature birth | UK News

A driver has been jailed after crashing into the back of a car while gambling on his mobile phone, and causing a pregnant woman to go into labour. Derby Crown Court heard Jack Bentley, 30, from Meadow Way, Derby, was seen veering into the grass verge of the A50 in Derbyshire, swerving between lanes and lane hogging on 6 April 2025. His Ford Focus then collided into the back of a Nissan X Trail, which was queuing in stationary traffic. A pregnant passenger in the Nissan suffered a fractured pelvis, was rushed to hospital and gave birth prematurely, leaving her baby in intensive care, the court was told. Image: Jack Bentley. Pic: Derbyshire Police The Nissan’s driver and two other children were also injured, while the family’s pet dog had to undergo emergency surgery. Bentley admitted two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and, on 11 February, was jailed for two years and four months. The former child stars were involved in a well-documented feud in the early 2000s, stemming from a messy love triangle with the late Aaron Carter, whom they dated at the same time. Appearing on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Duff, 38, was asked point-blank if she deliberately showed up at the Freaky Friday premiere to bother Lohan, the star of the movie. “I think absolutely yes. I was a teenager,” the Lizzie McGuire actor replied. She noted that she was invited by their mutual co-star Chad Michael Murray. “I don’t wanna start any more stuff,” Duff said cautiously, “But, like, he was like, ‘You should come with me.’ And I was like, ‘Mhmm. Probably I should.’” open …

A bitcoin logo is displayed at a conference in Hong Kong on Aug. 28, 2025. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies soared this year — until crashing in October. Vernon Yuen/AFP via Getty Images hide caption toggle caption Vernon Yuen/AFP via Getty Images This was supposed to be crypto’s year. President Trump got elected vowing to make the U.S. “the crypto capital of the world” — and by many measures, he delivered. From the crypto-friendly regulators he appointed to major legislation passed by the Republican-led Congress, the government has been removing roadblocks for the sector while allowing crypto to become more closely integrated into the country’s financial system. For example, Trump picked Paul Atkins, a consultant who has worked with the crypto industry, as his new chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the primary federal agency that supervises the financial sector. The GENIUS Act, which Congress passed this year, established rules for a growing area of crypto called stablecoins — a digital currency that allows for almost instantaneous transfers between parties anywhere in the world. In the inset, dust cloud cs1, imaged in 2012, is pictured with dust cloud cs2, imaged in 2023 NASA, ESA, Paul Kalas/UC Berkeley Around the nearby star Fomalhaut, asteroids are smashing into each other in a series of cosmic cataclysms, creating huge clouds of dust. For the first time, astronomers are watching one of these collisions as it occurs, which could provide a window into the early days of our own solar system. Fomalhaut has a history of strange observations: in 2008, Paul Kalas at the University of California, Berkeley, and his colleagues reported what seemed to be a giant planet in orbit around the young star, based on observations with the Hubble Space Telescope made in 2004 and 2005. Over the years, though, as more observations have rolled in, researchers have hotly debated over what this strange object, called Fomalhaut b, might be. It was either a planet a bit larger than Jupiter, or a cloud of debris. Now, Kalas and …

A bear crashed a wine picnic. Officials had a choice to make

A 500-pound bear with chestnut fur and a tan muzzle hunches over a picnic table in a Mammoth Lakes campground, picking over T-bone steak and jostling drinking glasses. “Don’t spill my wine — that’s all we have!” someone calls out in a video of the incident. Somewhere, out of view of the camera, campers attempt to scare the bear away by making loud clanging noises. Unfazed by the racket, the hulking mammal then lumbers over to a metal bear box just past a woman who stands looking petrified on a stump. The woman’s hand shakes as she eyes the beast warily. The bear then turns to the woman and swipes her leg, sending her fleeing as onlookers gasp. It doesn’t pursue her. The Aug. 21 video has fueled a raging debate over humanity’s coexistence with wild animals, particularly those that inspire both awe and terror. (Kathy Spaulding) For some, the video is an example of people baiting wildlife with perilous consequences. To others, it illustrates the problem of wild animals becoming habituated to interactions with …
