After the reported threat, Trump withdrew the commutation, forcing Ulbricht to serve four additional years in prison before receiving a full pardon in January 2025 during Trump’s second term. Dan Lin, chairman of Netflix film, opened up about the streamer’s decision to give Greta Gerwig‘s Narnia movie a wide theatrical release in a new profile with The New York Times, assuring the outlet that the move was an “exception” and not a hint at its future rollout strategy. Lin joined Netflix in April 2024, taking over the reins from Scott Stuber, who shifted the streaming service into the blockbuster space. Dolphia Blocker, the wife of late Bonanza star Dan Blocker, died April 19 of a stroke in a hospital near her longtime home in Santa Barbara, her elder son, producer David Blocker, told The Hollywood Reporter. She was 93. She first met her future husband when both were attending Sul Ross State Teacher’s College in Alpine, Texas. The college sweethearts were married in September 1952 after he returned from a stint in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, during which he received a Purple Heart. Dan was an elementary school teacher in New Mexico when he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting in late 1956 or early 1957 with Dolphia and their three young kids, twin girls Danna and Debbie (born in 1953) and David (born in 1955). Former BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker has broken his silence after allegations from a former Channel 5 News presenter were withdrawn against him on Friday. Former TV presenter Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije co-hosted Channel 5 News alongside Dan between 2022 and 2023. Ms Vanderpuije, 47, who co-presented the Channel 5 News programme with Mr Walker from 2022, had lodged claims of unfair dismissal, discrimination on grounds of race and sex, harassment, and breach of contract. She had also filed a claim of suffering detriment or dismissal under the Public Interest Disclosure Act, commonly known as whistleblowing.
