High Taxes, Power Bill Crisis Send Maryland Gov. Moore’s Poll Numbers To Record Low

High Taxes, Power Bill Crisis Send Maryland Gov. Moore’s Poll Numbers To Record Low

Left-wing Maryland Gov. Wes Moore’s approval rating has slid to a new record low as the Democrat darling, seen as Soros-friendly and as having aspirations to become the Democratic Party’s 2028 nominee, increasingly looks dimmer by the month. Moore and Alex Soros.  Moore’s approval rating tumbled to 48% for the first time since he took office two years ago, as the Democratic Party is likely freaking out that even in one of the bluest states in America, ruled by the kings and queens of the progressive party in a one-party fashion, their rising star (now sinking star) is seeing mounting voter backlash as the state descends into multiple crises, from a fisical mess to power bills to crime and even a massive exodus of residents.  High taxes breaking the pocketbooks of working poor, horrible leadership, dishonesty, terrible fiscal management by the state, and the power bill crisis are the top reasons for the growing resentment captured in the new UMBC poll, which surveyed 804 Marylanders in mid-March, 731 of whom indicated they were registered voters. …

Moore Problems? Maryland Gov. Wes Moore Booed At Baltimore Stadium In Deep-Blue Territory

Left-wing Maryland Gov. Wes Moore was greeted Thursday afternoon by a stadium full of boos at Camden Yards on Opening Day for Orioles baseball, a striking public rebuke of the struggling governor and the one-party rule of Democratic Party kings and queens running the state into the ground. The end result of this epic mismanagement is extraordinarily sad: a growing exodus of residents, with net migration trends turning negative for the state as people flee to places where common sense is prioritized, not state-ruining far-left experiments. One notable observation about the boos is that they occurred at Camden Yards in Baltimore City, which is …

California’s Gov. Newsom supports move to rename César Chavez Day over alleged sexual abuse

California’s Gov. Newsom supports move to rename César Chavez Day over alleged sexual abuse

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he supports a proposal to rename César Chavez Day as Farmworkers Day following stunning allegations of abuse against the revered labor leader. Political leaders in states and cities are considering similar moves after the allegations became public, accusing Chavez of sexually abusing girls and the co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America union, Dolores Huerta, decades ago. There also have been calls to alter memorials honoring the man who in the 1960s helped secure better wages and working conditions for farmworkers and had been admired by many Democratic leaders. Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson’s office said Thursday that he won’t issue a proclamation honoring César Chavez Day this year while Denver officials plan to rename their annual celebration. Events in Texas and in his home state of Arizona have been canceled at the request of the César Chavez Foundation. In 2000, California became the first state to designate Chavez’s birthday as a holiday. Schools were required to teach students about his involvement in the labor movement …

Bloomberg | Bloomberg | Getty Images Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton on Tuesday won the Democratic Party primary to replace retiring U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, U.S. media projected, putting her in position to win the November election in this solidly Democratic state. Stratton, 60, defeated 10 other Democratic candidates vying for the nomination, including U.S. Representatives Raja Krishnamoorthi and Robin Kelly. Stratton was endorsed by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and was viewed as the most progressive of the top three candidates. She campaigned on a platform to increase the federal minimum wage to $25 per hour from $7.25, and backed the elimination of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, which has conducted immigrant deportation efforts in Chicago and other major U.S. cities. If Stratton prevails in the fall general election, she would be the sixth Black person serving in the U.S. Senate when it convenes in January – a new record – assuming Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey is re-elected, as expected. Stratton’s primary win was a victory for …

Reform Zia Yusuf Criticises You Gov As Poll Numbers Drop

Reform Zia Yusuf Criticises You Gov As Poll Numbers Drop

A senior Reform UK official has launched an outspoken attack on YouGov as the party stalls in the opinion polls. Zia Yusuf, Reform’s home affairs spokesman, said the pollster “will lose all credibility and their business will die” if the party outperforms expectations in May’s elections. His comments came after YouGov said it would publish more data about how it reaches its voting intention (VI) figures. The company’s polls have tended to show support for Reform at a lower level than other pollsters, with their most recent one putting the party on 23%. In a post on X, Yusuf said: “YouGov has lost a stunning 89% of its value in just over 4 years. Now they’ve stuck their neck out to prop up the cadaver of the Tory Party. “If Reform wins more than 23% of the vote share in May, their polls will lose all credibility and their business will die.” YouGov has lost a stunning 89% of its value in just over 4 years. ‘Moderate’ Gov. Abigail Spanberger Expected To Sign Sweeping Gun Ban Into Law

‘Moderate’ Gov. Abigail Spanberger Expected To Sign Sweeping Gun Ban Into Law

Authored by Tim O’Brien via PJMedia.com, Now that the Virginia General Assembly has passed what it calls “assault weapon ban” legislation, all that’s needed is for Gov. Abigail Spanberger to sign it into law, which is all but a given. Once signed, Senate Bill 749 will likely take effect as soon as July 1, 2026.  The law will ban the sale, import, manufacture, purchase, and transfer of what it describes as “assault firearms,” and it will treat high-capacity magazines that can hold 15 rounds or more in the same way. It will make any violations of the law a “Class 1 misdemeanor,” which could mean up to a year in jail and a $2,500 for a first offense.  While SB 749 does not explicitly ban AR-15 rifles, since the popular long rifle falls under the bill’s definition of assault weapons, it will be effectively banned.  A Bangladeshi immigrant who has served in the Virginia Senate since 2024 is the sponsor of the massively aggressive gun control legislation. Saddam Azlan Salim came to America when he was 10 …

NY Gov. Kathy Hochul Kills Plan To Allow Robotaxi Operations Outside NYC

NY Gov. Kathy Hochul Kills Plan To Allow Robotaxi Operations Outside NYC

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has withdrawn a proposal that would allow commercial robotaxi pilot operations outside New York City limits without a human safety operator in the vehicle. The decision was first reported by Bloomberg News earlier Thursday and is a major setback for Waymo as it attempts a rapid US expansion this year. Bloomberg reported: The proposal, which Hochul had included in a policy preview she presented last month, would have allowed autonomous-vehicle companies such as Waymo to apply for permission to pilot their services without human operators in the vehicle. The decision to withdraw the plan was confirmed Thursday by the governor’s office to Bloomberg News. “While we are disappointed by the Governor’s decision, we’re committed to bringing our service to New York and will work with the state legislature to advance this issue,” a Waymo spokesperson said in a statement provided to Bloomberg. Last week, Waymo co-chief executive Tekedra Mawakana told Bloomberg TV that the Hochul administration showed interest in launching robotaxis. Even if it were outside the NYC metro area, …

Democrats pick Gov. Spanberger to give State of the Union rebuttal

Democrats pick Gov. Spanberger to give State of the Union rebuttal

Then-Rep. Abigail Spanberger, D-Va., poses in her office in the Cannon House Office Building on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Bill Clark | Cq-roll Call, Inc. | Getty Images Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger will deliver the Democratic rebuttal to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address next Tuesday, a primetime slot for the newly elected state executive to lay out the Democratic Party’s vision ahead of the pivotal 2026 midterm elections. Spanberger defeated Republican Winsome Earl-Sears by 15 points in last year’s elections, flipping the state from Republican to Democratic control. She was previously a member of the House of Representatives from Virginia. The rebuttal to the State of the Union is a high-stakes opportunity for the party outside of the White House to lay out its vision for the country after the president gives his speech. The stakes are even higher for Democrats this year, who are looking to rip away Trump’s complete control of Washington in the midterm elections. “Virginians and Americans across the country are contending with rising costs, chaos in their …

Maryland Gov. Moore Caught In Yet Another Background Lie?

Maryland Gov. Moore Caught In Yet Another Background Lie?

Authored by Luis Cornelio via Headline USA, Not only did Maryland Gov. Wes Moore lie about a Bronze Star, his Baltimore origins, a fictional football Hall of Fame introduction and his academic credentials, but a new report also suggests he fabricated a story about his great-grandfather fleeing the KKK.  The report, published Wednesday by the Washington Free Beacon, centered on Moore’s repeated claim that his maternal great-grandfather, Rev. Josiah Johnson Thomas, fled South Carolina for Jamaica after narrowly escaping a lynching by the KKK in the 1920s.  Moore has repeatedly referenced the story as a sign of strength, portraying Thomas as a preacher who, along with his son, Moore’s grandfather, was targeted for rebuking racism in South Carolina.  However, the Free Beacon reported that the “straight out of Hollywood” story appears to be “false” as it is “flatly contradicted by historical records.”  According to the report, records do confirm that Thomas preached during the 1920s and later moved to Jamaica, the Caribbean island where he was born.  The same records from the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of South Carolina indicate the move followed his …
