David Harbour Joins Noah Centineo in Action Movie John Rambo

David Harbour Joins Noah Centineo in Action Movie John Rambo

David Harbour is going all Rambo. The Stranger Things star is a late addition to John Rambo, Lionsgate and Millennium Media’s action feature being directed by Jalmari Helander, the helmer behind the grimy and gritty Sisu movies. Templeton Media and AGBO are also involved in the production. An origin story that takes place before the events of First Blood, the Sylvester Stallone-starring movie that kicked off the Rambo franchise, John Rambo stars Noah Centineo as John Rambo, who will one day become a man who just wants to be left alone but here is a soldier fighting a war in the jungle. In a key role, Harbour is playing Major Trautman, Rambo’s commanding officer. In the original Rambo trilogy released in the 1980s, the role was played by Richard Crenna as a character who was the only calming influence in the one-man fighting force’s life. The movie wrapped production in Thailand in March. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the screenplay. Producers include Kevin King Templeton for Templeton Media, Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger for Millennium Media, and Angela …

Trump Jokes About Pearl Harbour With Japanese PM Present

Trump Jokes About Pearl Harbour With Japanese PM Present

Donald Trump made a shocking joke during an Oval Office meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi that prompted his guest to stiffen in her seat as she glanced around the room. The two leaders met on Thursday as Trump’s war in Iran continues to strain the global economy. Trump took the majority of questions from reporters before asking for one more from one of the “beautiful” Japanese correspondents. He called on a man, who apparently seemed confused. “He doesn’t think he’s beautiful,” Trump joked. After the reporter asked Trump why he did not tell allies in Europe and Asia about his plan to attack Iran, saying it confused the Japanese people, Trump replied that he needed to count on the element of surprise. “For one thing, you don’t want to signal too much, you know? When we went in, we went in very hard, and we didn’t tell anybody about it because we wanted surprise,” he said. Then he went for another joke: “Who knows better about surprise than Japan? OK? Why didn’t you …

We all harbour 9 secrets and they are eating us up inside

We all harbour 9 secrets and they are eating us up inside

Psst! Can you keep a secret? Yana Iskayeva/Getty Images The average person is keeping nine types of secrets, ranging from having told a lie to covert romantic desires. This can be a major burden, because secrets have the troubling habit of flashing into the mind unbidden. Confessing them can sometimes bring relief, but some secrets are too sensitive to be shared. As a result, researchers are investigating psychological strategies for coping with them. “You might think about secrets when you’re showering, when you’re doing your dishes or when you’re heading to work,” says Val Bianchi at the University of Melbourne in Australia. “Having these thoughts pop into your mind when you don’t necessarily want them to is often unpleasant, and people seem to get caught in vicious cycles of thinking spontaneously about their secrets as they go about their life, and feeling worse about them.” Bianchi has spent years investigating the psychological burden of secret-keeping and ways to ease it, with her latest research being funded by the Australian Office of National Intelligence. Intelligence operatives must …

Lily Allen Confirms New Relationship Following David Harbour Split

Lily Allen Confirms New Relationship Following David Harbour Split

Lily Allen Lily Allen has revealed that she is in a new relationship. In 2024, the chart-topping star and her husband of four years, David Harbour, parted ways, which served as much of the inspiration for her latest album West End Girl. More recently, she’s been romantically linked with the writer and author Jonah Freud, the great-great-grandson of Sigmund Freud. During a new interview with Grazia, Lily confirmed that she’s in a new relationship, excitedly telling the outlet that her “boyfriend” was the last person she texted. Last year, while promoting West End Girl, the Brit Award winner was asked by Interview magazine if she had been “dating anyone” since becoming single, to which the Not Fair singer responded with a cryptic “maybe”. “[Dating apps are] awful, especially if you’re going through heartbreak,” she shared in the interview, published in October 2025. “There is nothing more depressing than hundreds of people that are nothing like the person that you’re missing. It’s just like, ‘No, that’s not him. That’s not him. That’s not him’.” She then …

Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini Enter a Deadly Love Triangle in ‘DTF St. Louis’

Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini Enter a Deadly Love Triangle in ‘DTF St. Louis’

The Midwest is usually associated with uncomplicated kindness—nice, polite people who like college football, a cold beer, and (recent events in Minnesota notwithstanding) treating their neighbors with dignity and respect. But as an oft repeated phrase on Steven Conrad’s new HBO show warns, there’s more to Midwesterners than meets the eye. “No one’s normal,” says Conrad, Zooming in from California. “It just looks that way from across the street.” In the HBO limited series DTF St. Louis, Conrad explores the darkness just beyond a Midwestern city’s white picket fences. The seven-episode dark comedy stars Emmy favorites Jason Bateman, David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini as three middle-aged St. Louis residents grappling with ennui, loneliness, and hidden desires, becoming enmeshed in a love triangle that leaves one of them dead. As a writer, Conrad—who sold his first screenplay at the age of 19—has always been interested in messiness. “[There’s] a set of themes I’ve liked since I was a young person learning how to write: You watch somebody you like make a mistake, and you watch them …

Australian boy in critical condition after Sydney Harbour shark attack

Australian boy in critical condition after Sydney Harbour shark attack

SYDNEY: An Australian boy was in critical condition after being bitten by a shark in Sydney, authorities said on Monday (Jan 19), after heavy rain created ideal conditions for sharks to enter the city’s harbour. The boy, believed to be 12 or 13, had been jumping off a 6m rock with friends late on Sunday afternoon at a beach in Vaucluse, around 9km from the CBD and in the harbour, when he was attacked by the shark. Recent heavy rain had drained into the harbour, turning the water murky, police said. He was pulled from the water by friends and emergency services with severe injuries to both legs and remains in a critical condition. “He’s in for the fight of his life now, and the actions of emergency services yesterday gave him that chance,” New South Wales Police Superintendent Joseph McNulty told reporters on Monday. The attack follows days of heavy rain that filled the harbour with fresh water, creating ideal conditions for the bull shark suspected to be behind the attack – a species …

Deal to nationalise ‘ferry fiasco’ harbour at ‘advanced stage’, says Scotland’s first minister | UK News

Deal to nationalise ‘ferry fiasco’ harbour at ‘advanced stage’, says Scotland’s first minister | UK News

Ardrossan Harbour, once a vital link to the Isle of Arran, is set to be bought by the Scottish government and upgraded so ferry services can resume. Discussions with private operator Peel Ports about nationalising the harbour are at a “well-advanced stage”, according to Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney. Reports suggest a price was agreed in October, and it is hoped a deal could be completed before the end of 2026. The current site cannot dock two new ferries on the route between the mainland and the Isle of Arran because they are too big – just another setback for the harbour at the centre of what’s been Scotland’s “ferry fiasco”. Ministers are reportedly looking to upgrade it once under public ownership. The Glen Sannox has been in service since last January, while the Glen Rosa could be delayed from entering service until early 2027.
