Taylor Swift Releases Toy Story Song “I Knew It, I Knew You”

Taylor Swift‘s Toy Story 5 song “I Knew It, I Knew You” officially dropped on Friday, and as promised after Disney called the song a return to Swift’s country roots, her latest brings the world’s biggest superstar back to her debut days. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post Thursday night, accompanied by a video of a Young Swift in a Jessie-like cowgirl outfit. “Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.” Swift reunited with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff on the song which is an upbeat country-pop track complete with some banjo and mandolin fills. “Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film,” Swift said, also giving props to Randy Newman “for the gorgeous sonic tapestry …

Jack Antonoff Lambasts AI Music Creators as ‘Godless Whores’

Jack Antonoff Lambasts AI Music Creators as ‘Godless Whores’

Jack Antonoff isn’t holding back on his thoughts on music makers who use artificial intelligence. The Bleachers frontman and music producer shared a lengthy letter (below) on his Instagram Wednesday, saying there’s “nothing more embarrassing than considering there is a way to optimize that holy process” of music creation. “What we do has become an ancient ritual,” he wrote. “You don’t have to write music, you don’t have to record it and you don’t have to bring out the band and play it. And yet for us, the idea of optimizing what we do is a complete miss of the entire point of what compels us in the first place. We (myself, the band and everyone I know, frankly) have never been looking for this work to become quicker or easier. We were never frustrated by the randomness and magic it takes. We do it for that exact reason — and without the process itself ::: nothingness.” The frequent Taylor Swift collaborator added that the “bad actors” in the industry will eventually “reveal themselves through …

Margaret Qualley on Substance, Surrender, and Life With Jack Antonoff

Margaret Qualley on Substance, Surrender, and Life With Jack Antonoff

Margaret Qualley walks into Clark’s, a diner in Brooklyn Heights, carrying her little dog, Smokey, in her arms and is immediately intercepted by an employee who tells her she can’t have a dog inside. “I’ll be back in 10 minutes” is the first thing she says. She lives nearby with her husband, the musician and producer Jack Antonoff. I suggest taking a walk. “Do you want to just come over?” she asks. I had wondered what the actor who so often portrays an unassuming allure would be like stripped of the mediation of the screen. But I can tell as the words are coming out of her mouth, she’s already changing her mind about having a writer see the inside of her home. “I can have my husband meet me downstairs. It’s a mess.” When Qualley returns, she appears effortless—she’s wearing a hoodie and Uggs and orders hot water with lemon. She seems reluctant to talk about her relationship with Antonoff, whom she met at a party in 2021, other than saying, “I’ve always been …

Jack Antonoff Becomes Fourth Person to Win 4 Major Grammy Categories

Jack Antonoff has entered from rare Grammy air. The singer, songwriter and producer became just the fourth person to win all four major categories — album, record, song of the year and best new artist — which he completed at Sunday’s show. Antonoff was only missing record of the year, which he won for producing “Luther” from Kendrick Lamar and SZA at the 2026 Grammy Awards; he also had a second chance at the award for producing fellow record nominee “Manchild,” from Sabrina Carpenter. He had previously won best new artist as a member of the group Fun, along with song of the year for the band’s hit tune “We are Young.” He also has three album of the year wins as a frequent collaborator of Taylor Swift, for her albums 1989, Folklore and Midnights. The only other musicians who have completed that “Big Four” feat are Christopher Cross, Billie Eilish and Adele; Cross (in 1981) and Eilish (in 2020) were both able to achieve all four major wins in one night. Antonoff was up …
