Janet Jackson, 59, stuns with bold fashion statement during red carpet appearance in LA

Janet Jackson looked incredible as she stepped onto the red carpet at the Grammy Hall of Fame event in Beverly Hills on Friday night, ready for her hit 1989 album, Rhythm Nation 1814, to be honored and inducted.  The 59-year-old opted to showcase her fashion prowess at the event in a bold, oversized gray pinstripe suit with wide-leg trousers and a lengthy blazer. She added a white button-down shirt with a dramatic collar, and tied a loosely draped scarf around her neck. Janet accessorized with pointed black heels and dangly gold earrings, and added a pop of color with her orange nail polish. She went full-glam for her makeup look with a pop of blush, and wore her voluminous curls down her back.  © Getty Images for The Recording AJanet wowed in the oversized gray suit The veteran performer and sister of the late Michael Jackson is finally getting her flowers, with her 1989 album being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.  Michael’s iconic albums Off the Wall and Thriller were previously inducted too, as were three of The Jackson Five’s singles, “I Want You Back”, “ABC” and “I’ll Be …

Exclusive: Julianne Moore On Her Met Gala 2026 Table, and the Time She Met “Ebullient” Paris Jackson

Julianne Moore is a pro at this point. Certainly as an actor —she’s an Oscar winner after all—but likewise on the red carpet. The star was cool and calm, at least about her look, as we chatted days before the Met Gala 2026. “It’s always a little bit stressful because of the amount of people,” Moore says on Zoom, as she sits in her sunny Manhattan kitchen in a white T-shirt and oversized aviator glasses. But that can be a good thing, too. “It’s the most extraordinary collection of people from across fashion and film and music and theater. And you kind of run into people you never expect to meet.” She had just come from a fitting with Bottega Veneta, and was feeling good about her dress—mainly because she’s a big, big fan of the brand’s creative director, Louise Trotter. I just think she’s really cool,” Moore says. “I literally bought her shoes the last time I …

Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson Producing Gilgo Beach Murders Drama at Peacock

Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson Producing Gilgo Beach Murders Drama at Peacock

Peacock is developing a scripted series based on one of the more notorious serial killer cases of the recent past. The NBCUniversal streamer is working with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and writer Jordan Hawley on a drama about the Gilgo Beach murders on New York’s Long Island. The project comes from Universal Studio Group’s UCP and Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television. It’s inspired by a Jackson-produced docuseries, The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets, that debuted on Peacock last year. Originally three episodes, the series released a fourth installment April 23 — two weeks after Rex Heuermann, 62, pleaded guilty to murdering eight women and disposing of their bodies along Gilgo Beach. Hawley (A Million Little Things, Netflix’s Sex/Life) is writing the project and will executive produce with Jackson. The description for the potential series reads, “For 30 years, the Long Island serial killer hunted in the shadows of suburbia — evading law enforcement by living an unremarkable double life. When detectives finally crack the case, his devoted wife and children are forced to confront …

The Real-Life Diet of Jackson White, Who Loves Cooking Steak the ‘French Way’

The Real-Life Diet of Jackson White, Who Loves Cooking Steak the ‘French Way’

What are the spots that you’re going to? I mean, I live kind of far from everybody, and sometimes I like it that way. Sometimes I don’t. But I am right by this trail, and I bought myself a mountain bike for my birthday last year, and I go mountain biking on this dirt trail by my house. I’ll do that for an hour just to exhaust myself. And that’s a California bonus: I can ride my bike on a hill and I’m around now. I’m around nature. In any pocket of the city, you can get to a trail or run all the stereotypical hikes in LA I like to do. I think they’re great. They’re clichés for a reason. They’re fucking awesome. We talked a little bit about diet as in food, but do you like to cook? I make a lot of steak. I’ve just gotten my steak recipe down. Which is what? I just like to cook it the French way. So I’ve invested in a really beautiful cast iron, and …

Following its first weekend of release, the film launched with $97 million in the US and $217 million globally, breaking the box office record for a musical biopic – which had previously been held by Bohemian Rhapsody. The movie, which features Michael’s real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson, charts the life and legacy of the late musician from his early beginnings as a member of the Jackson 5 through to his 1987 Bad tour. With a decision yet to be made on whether there will be a follow-up to the movie, exploring Michael’s later life, there are a number of documentaries available to watch that chart much of the singer’s life, including the allegations made against him in the late ’90s and early 2000s. The Michael Jackson Biopic and the Cancellation That Wasn’t

The Michael Jackson Biopic and the Cancellation That Wasn’t

First, let’s establish two things. One: Michael, the biopic sanctioned by the Michael Jackson estate that opened Friday, is almost certain to make an enormous amount of money. The movie’s currently on track for a $70 million opening in North America alone, and could make $80 million (or more) internationally. And that’s just in its first weekend. These aren’t Thriller numbers, but they’re certainly healthy, particularly in the wake of several recent movies about musicians that crashed and burned both critically and commercially. Two: At least five boys, now men, have credibly and publicly accused Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were between the ages of 7 and 12. How can both of these things be true at the same time? Filmmaker Dan Reed has a simple explanation. “People don’t care that he was a child molester,” he told The Hollywood Reporter this week. “Literally, people just don’t care.” He’s right. Reed’s 2019 documentary, Leaving Neverland, a four-hour accounting of the allegations against Jackson, is excruciatingly detailed and powerfully compelling. It’s difficult, if not …
