Biden added in the video that the “same qualities that made her a great mayor made her invaluable to our administration.” He called Bottoms “smart” and “focused” and said she “gets things done.” “Georgia, she’s ready. She’s been ready,” said the former president, who included Bottoms on a short list of potential vice presidential running mates in 2020. Bottoms is running in a crowded Democratic primary field, which also includes former Georgia state Sen. Jason Esteves, former state labor commissioner and DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond and former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, who served as a Republican but later switched parties. Bottoms has held …

‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Adds Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance

‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Adds Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance

The Addams Family is growing. On Thursday, Netflix revealed a trio of new guest stars for Wednesday season three, including another alum from the Game of Thrones universe. Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire) and James Lance (Ted Lasso) have joined the madness — production on the smash-hit show’s third season is currently underway near Dublin. We do not yet have a sense of premiere timing — let alone a release date — for Wednesday season three. There’s also not much of a predictable pattern to guesstimate off of: Wednesday season one debuted over Thanksgiving week in 2022, which definitely paid off for Netflix. Season two was split into two parts with the first batch dropping in early August 2025 and the second in early September. It stands to reason that Netflix will go with another split season — a trick to keep churn rates down. Previously announced season three cast members include Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children), Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice), Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon), Noah …

Elvis star Austin Butler has been cast as Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic depicting the rise and fall of the cyclist from Oscar-winning director Edward Berger. Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere producer Scott Stuber has acquired Armstrong’s full life rights for the project, which will be directed by Conclave’s Berger, who won an Academy Award for All Quiet on the Western Front, and written by Zach Baylin (King Richard). Baylin, Josh Glick, and Zac Frognowski are on board as executive producers on the film, which, according to Deadline, is being offered to studios and has led to a bidding war, with multiple offers in from major studios. Austin Butler to Play Lance Armstrong in Biopic

Austin Butler to Play Lance Armstrong in Biopic

Austin Butler is attached to star as cyclist Lance Armstrong in a biopic from Conclave director Edward Berger and Deliver Me From Nowhere producer Scott Stuber. Zach Baylin, the Oscar-nominated writer behind Will Smith starrer King Richard, is penning the screenplay. Berger will produce the film with Stuber and Nick Nesbit. Baylin, Josh Glick and Zac Frognowski will serve as executive producers. The Armstrong biopic does not fall under Stuber’s United Artists shingle, with the project predating his pact and revival of the Amazon MGM-owned brand. Because of this, the package, stacked with Academy Award-nominated talent, is being shopped around to studio partners. For the film, Stuber acquired Armstrong’s life rights. Armstrong became the world’s best-known cyclist after winning the Tour de France a record-setting seven consecutive times. His legacy was called into question after the United States Anti-Doping Agency concluded an investigation in 2012 that found that Armstrong had used performance-enhancing drugs over the course of his career, stripping him of his titles. Armstrong denied doping allegations for years until finally admitting to using performance-enhancing …

The Very American Story of Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance

The Very American Story of Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance

In 1928, Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance published a memoir that caused a sensation in the literary world. It opened with his earliest memory: Barely a year old, he was riding in a moss baby carrier on his mother’s back, surrounded by women and horses. His mother’s hand was bleeding, and she was crying. Long Lance wrote that when he’d recounted this memory to his aunt years later, he’d been told that he was remembering the “exciting aftermath of an Indian fight” in which his uncle Iron Blanket had just been killed by the Blackfeet Tribe’s traditional enemies, the Crow. His mother’s hand was bleeding because she had amputated her own finger in mourning. Explore the February 2026 Issue Check out more from this issue and find your next story to read. I remember moving about over the prairies from camp to camp.” Born to a Blackfeet warrior in the late …
