Ella Langley stepped foot on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville last weekend for an intimate one-night-only performance celebrating music, culture and community. Langley performed for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers as part of the credit card brand’s “Dinner On…” series, which reimagines iconic cultural landmarks as immersive dining venues, with entertainment from established and emerging artists. The exclusive experience saw just over 100 guests seated on the Opry stage for a private showcase from Langley followed by a multi-course dinner from Nashville’s Michelin-rated Bastion, along with a take-home gift of custom cowboy boots from Tecovas. For Langley, whose new album Dandelion was released on April 10 (and also spawned a passion fruit and tequila-inspired cocktail of the same name at the Chase event), the chance to take over the Grand Ole Opry in such a unique way was too good to pass up. “This is such a legendary place for artists …

Ella Langley Performs ‘Be Her’ at 2026 ACM Awards

Fast-rising country superstar Ellla Langley played “Be Her” during her performance at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night. Dressed in a white gown adorned with a crystal neckline and waistline, Langley sang the song while sitting on a stool playing her guitar accompanied by two other guitarists. A few moments later, she was named best female artist, beating out the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert (her co-writer on “Choosin’ Texas”), Megan Moroney and Lainey Wilson. During her speech for that award, she was so overcome with emotion she had a hard time beginning to speak. She praised her fellow nominees, her family for “being weird as always; it keeps me humble” and “the women, I would not be standing up here without that, so thank you.” Langley came into this year’s ACMs tied with Lainey Wilson as the third-most nominated act of the evening, garnering seven nominations overall. Her smash hit “Choosin’ Texas” came into the show with two nominations, for single of the year and song of the year. In …

Ella Langley, Dandelion review – A saloon-door-slamming country classic

It’s the mainstream success that the 26-year-old Alabamian farm girl’s been chasing all her life. “Did anything and everything to get where I’m at, and damn if it don’t feel good!” she sings on her second album, Dandelion. But later on the same song, “Somethin’ Simple”, she concedes that while “living the dream” she still cherishes the basics: “A house on the hill, horse in the yard, a dog at my feet, pickin’ my guitar, supper on the stove, hard-workin’ man taking off his dirty work clothes…” So – although Langley first found fame singing covers on TikTok – there’s no reinventing the wagon wheel on this rich and accomplished record. …

The star-studded BAFTA Film Awards 2026 ceremony in London on Sunday also put a spotlight on Donna Langley, chair of NBCUniversal Entertainment and the first British woman to run a major Hollywood studio. The top executive, born and raised on the Isle of Wight in the U.K., took to the stage to receive the British Academy’s highest honor, the BAFTA Fellowship, to a standing ovation before highlighting cinema’s power to bring people together. “We are … facing moments of change and disruption today,” Langley said. “And my hope is that those of us who help tell stories for a living continue to find inspiration to make popular art that carries over into people’s everyday lives — that helps us understand the world a bit better and to see each other a little more clearly… and reminds us that decency is a superpower.” Langley also shared that her parents helped her “see differences as a strength and not a weakness.” She continued: “As my career has progressed, I’ve come to believe that the most meaningful part of …
