Trailers and AI and movie announcements, oh my! Let’s take a look at some of the big comics-related headlines from the past couple of weeks. News From DC and Marvel A new Lanterns trailer and the official Supergirl trailer dropped recently. On the Marvel side of things, you can watch the final Spider-Noir trailer and the trailer for Season 2 of X-Men ’97. Disney is shuffling around its executives and putting different people in charge of Marvel, while eliminating the title of “publisher” altogether. Joe and Anthony Russo have announced that Avengers: Secret Wars, currently slated for release in late 2027, will probably be their last Avengers movie, though not necessarily their last Marvel movie. By Kyu-seok Shim and Joyce Lee SEOUL, June 4 (Reuters) – South Korean President Lee ⁠Jae ⁠Myung’s ruling Democratic Party swept most major local ⁠races in elections held on Wednesday, but suffered a symbolic setback as the opposition conservative incumbent ​Oh Se-hoon won another term as Seoul mayor. The Democratic Party won 12 of the 16 major mayoral and provincial contests nationwide, while the conservative People Power ‌Party won four, a result that gives ‌Lee’s party broad control of local governments a year into his presidency. The loss of Seoul, South Korea’s largest city and its most politically prized ⁠mayoralty, however, tempered ⁠the ruling party’s victory and gives conservatives a key foothold as they seek to rebuild ​after the scandal over former President Yoon Suk Yeol’s failed 2024 martial law bid and subsequent impeachment. Speaking on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration, President Lee said the government would “humbly accept the will of the people”, and work actively with local governments regardless of their party affiliation. Sandra Lee, who is better known as Dr. Pimple Popper, just opened up about the stroke she suffered while filming her show last November. For the first time, the 55-year-old board certified dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon shared what led up to her stroke. We’re well aware that there aren’t any Ivy League schools in Kansas. But if there were, maybe the uniforms would look something like this collaboration between J.Crew and Lee. Regular link-ups with other New England natives like New Balance and Alden are par the course for J.Crew’s preppy agenda, so Lee might seem like a slight curveball. But we’ve also seen successful partnerships with more off-campus labels like Vans and Eckhaus Latta. So Lee’s buckin’ cowboy history doesn’t introduce friction, but actually complements J.Crew’s aesthetic with a rugged edge, and the result is refreshing. Inspired by Lee’s vault of vintage advertisements, the collection is a sextet of goods that dovetails the two labels’ stylish sensibilities into one masterful mashup.
