Bridgit Mendler has quietly made her grand return to music. The former Disney star, who left Hollywood nearly a decade ago to focus on her academics and pursue a career in the tech space, dropped a surprise EP on Friday. Titled Once Again…, it features six new tracks, including “Flowers,” “Cold,” “Mercy,” “Long Run,” “Loyalties” and “Oxygen.” She doesn’t appear to be promoting the EP on her social media, as her last Instagram post was in 2022. The last time Mendler released an album was in 2012 with Hello My Name Is…, which included the fan-favorite songs “Ready or Not” and “Hurricane.” She also dropped a few singles after, including her most recent, “Driving,” in 2017. Mendler initially rose to fame for her roles on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverly Place. She also starred alongside Naomi Scott, Hayley Kiyoko and Adam Hicks in the 2011 Disney movie Lemonade Mouth.
