Princess Gabriella, 11, displays close twin bond as she leans on Prince Jacques during milestone outing

Princess Charlene‘s twin children, 11, made a rare appearance on Saturday as the family visited Les Baux-de-Provence in France. While Prince Jacques was largely the one in the spotlight, since he was presented with the keys to the town, he was supported by his sister, Princess Gabriella. He looked smart in cream chinos and a blue suit jacket that matched his father Prince Albert, while Gabriella was the ultimate cool girl in her ethereal white sundress, Ray-Ban sunglasses and beige Frankie4 sandals. The pair put their close bond on display, with Jacques offering a steadying arm to help Gabriella navigate the cobblestone streets in her £177 footwear. In another photo, the royals watched an eagle display, and Gabriella seemed to reach towards her brother for comfort. The quiet interactions didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who commented: “They look so sweet, brother and sister. Siblings and friends,” and: “Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella are two very beautiful and well-behaved children.”  Princess Charlene also put her parenting duties on display. Although she was on official business, Charlene …

Meet the youngest male heirs born to rule thrones around the world

Meet the youngest male heirs born to rule thrones around the world

While drinking, driving and voting come with age restrictions, there is no such requirement to become an heir apparent to a throne. Some royal offspring wait years to move up the line of succession, while others are born into the position or find themselves there before even hitting puberty. For Prince Jacques of Monaco, Prince Charles of Luxembourg and Bhutan’s Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, the path to the throne began in childhood. Although his twin, Princess Gabriella, was born two minutes before him, Jacques is ahead of his sister in the line of succession because Monaco follows male-preference cognatic primogeniture, which gives male heirs precedence. Their older half-siblings, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi and Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste, are not in the line of succession because they were born …

Princess Charlene’s Monaco home looked dramatically different over the weekend as the Prince’s Palace was illuminated in brilliant blue to mark World Drowning Prevention Day. The official Instagram account of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco shared a series of striking nighttime photographs showing the royal residence glowing against the dark sky, with the caption: “Illumination of the Prince’s Palace in blue on the occasion of World Drowning Prevention Day.” The dramatic display transformed the centuries-old palace, with its stone towers and grand façade bathed in vivid blue light while members of the Carabiniers du Prince stood guard outside. The annual tribute comes after Princess Charlene revealed why the campaign against drowning has become one of the defining causes of her royal life. The heartbreaking loss behind Charlene’s mission Although the former Olympic swimmer founded the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in 2012 to prevent drownings and promote children’s education through sport, she only recently disclosed the deeply personal reason behind her commitment. In a candid interview with Ouest-France, Charlene shared that, as a child, she lost her …

What happened to the iconic Hitchcock Blondes

What happened to the iconic Hitchcock Blondes

Tippi was a Hitchcock Blonde twice, appearing in The Birds and Marnie, which were released in 1963 and 1964, respectively. While Tippi played damsel in distress Melanie Daniels in The Birds, she had a more complex character in Marnie, playing Marnie Edgar, opposite the late Sean Connery. Despite enjoying her work on Marnie, Tippi endured a difficult working relationship with Alfred Hitchcock, explaining in 1973: “He was too possessive and too demanding. I cannot be possessed by anyone. But, then, that’s my own hangup.” Her co-star, Diane Baker later recalled that the director would prevent her from seeing anyone else while on set. Following an explosive argument, the director stopped her from acting for two years, keeping her under contract without giving her any roles. She made her return in 1967’s A Countess from Hong Kong, which was Charlie Chaplin’s final film, and she also made appearances in Satan’s Harvest, Roar, Dream On and The Ghost and the Whale, which was her final film appearance. Tippi, now aged 96, is also known for her animal …

Prince Albert and rarely-seen son Alexandre Grimaldi, 22, attend tennis tournament separately

On 11 April, at the prestigious Monte Carlo tennis tournament, an unprecedented and, to say the least, somewhat strange situation unfolded. It wasn’t unusual to see Prince Albert at the Country Club enjoying one of the matches played on clay, but it was truly surprising that his son, Alexandre Grimaldi, was also there. They weren’t seen together at any point, so it’s understood that they arrived separately, and it’s also unknown whether they had any contact while at the venue.
