Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi makes public debut with new boyfriend Nicolas Mathieu

It’s now official between Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi and French novelist Nicolas Mathieu, as the pair made their public debut as a couple on Friday. The new couple were seen in the crowd at the Monte Carlo Country Club Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, watching the match between Italian Jannik Sinner and Czech Tomas Machac. Charlotte was seen wearing a sleek black outfit and jeans, while her new beau wore a white shirt, denim jeans and a tan jacket. The Monaco royal and French crime writer weren’t alone, as they were also joined in the stands by Nicolas’ 13-year-old son, in what was reportedly his first time in the principality. Princess Caroline of Monaco’s daughter Charlotte Casiraghi was respectful in an all-black ensemble, featuring a dramatic lace veil, as she attended the welcome ceremony for Pope Leo XIV’s visit to the principality.  The 39-year-old model and socialite wowed in a two-piece skirt suit that had intricate floral detailing running along the jacket’s bodice and chunky rope cording along its lapels.  Large silver buttons were done up to the jacket’s round neckline, and matching buttons lined the lower half of the model’s sleeves. She added a pair of dark black tights that poked out from beneath her pencil skirt.  She walked around in a pair of modest black sling-back kitten heels and carried her belongings in a padded Chanel purse with a long black strap that she clutched by her side.  Powerboat racer and Italian businessman Stefano Casiraghi’s daughter joined other members of the monarchy and donned a showstopping black lace veil for the monumental engagement.  The veil was loosely placed on top of her chestnut brown hair and hung down around her face. The Monaco royal family has shared a glimpse into a historic moment after welcoming Pope Leo XIV to the Principality for an apostolic visit.  Posting the arrival on social media on Saturday morning, the Palais Princier de Monaco shared a photograph and video of the moment Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert II of Monaco greeted the Pope upon his arrival at the Monaco Heliport. “His Holiness Pope Leo XIV in Monaco,” the caption read, alongside one image marking the start of what was described as a “historic apostolic visit to the Principality”.  A brief handshake took place between the royal couple and the Pope as the visit got underway.  Charlene, 48, wowed in an all-white ensemble consisting of a white midi dress, a belted coat and coordinating heels.  Shortly after arriving, a welcome ceremony took place at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, where the Pope was introduced to Princess Gabriella of Monaco and Prince Jacques of Monaco. © Getty A special welcome Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcome …

Princess Charlene was a vision in sparkles on Saturday evening as she formed the ultimate power couple with her husband, Prince Albert, at the annual Monaco Rose Ball.  The ball, themed ‘Galaxy Rose Ball’ by Albert’s sister, Princess Caroline of Hanover, invited guests to travel through space. Princess Charlene has kept a relatively low profile so far in 2026, stepping out for public engagements on only a handful of occasions.  However, on 17 March, she proved that a well-tailored suit never misses as she stepped out with her husband, Prince Albert, for the Monaco Red Cross first aid diploma ceremony. Princess Charlene, Prince Albert and their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella made a rare family appearance at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan over the weekend.  The Monaco royal family wrapped up warm on Sunday to watch the skeleton mixed team competition, donning beanie hats and ski jackets to observe the action at the Cortina Sliding Centre.  Eleven-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella were clearly making the most of their school holidays, grinning from ear to ear as they cheered on the athletes, having earlier attended the women’s curling tournament.   The outing also made for a special occasion for their parents, who famously went public with their relationship during the opening ceremony of the Turin Games in 2006. Princess Gabriella made her first appearance of 2026 as she featured in a photo to mark the New Year which was posted by the Monegasque royal Instagram account on 2 January. Joining her parents, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, and twin brother, Prince Jacques, the 11-year-old princess looked so sweet in ruby red. The royal opted for a vibrant party dress featuring a bow around the neck and a floaty skirt. It was paired with the ultimate party essential for any little girl – a pair of silver ballet pumps. The vivid hue of Gabriella’s look, which was perfectly playful for an 11-year-old, contrasted the quiet elegance of Princess Charlene’s white Elie Saab jumpsuit.  While Constance Richardson, a fashion stylist and colour expert, previously told us that red “signals confidence and intention” and is “a colour worn when a royal wants to stand out and project strength”, it seems that Gabriella is wearing this shade to beckon in the New Year, as red is one of the national colours of Monaco and so …
