Princess Charlene is the ultimate F1 style muse in Grecian goddess gown

Princess Charlene of Monaco brought royal glamour to the grid on Sunday in a Grecian-inspired gown. The royal, 48, was a Grecian goddess at the Monaco Grand Prix on 7 June in a sleeveless white dress which pooled at her feet.  Charlene looked timeless for the star-studded sports event in the V-neck maxi wrap dress, which was cinched at the waist with a thin brown belt. The chic dress is the perfect summertime inspiration with a flattering silhouette and timeless style.  The royal amped up the gown with modern accessories, including a bold sculptural wave necklace and a pair of oversized sunglasses on her face to block out the sunny Monaco weather. Charlene often wears her signature short blonde waves in an elegant twist or an up-do, and her recent outing was no different. Her hair was fashioned up neatly with the front sections tucked behind her ears.  © WireImagePrincess Charlene’s Grecian goddess gown Charlene was joined on the grid by her husband Prince Albert II of Monaco, who suited up in a navy jacket …

The Origins of Alcohol as a Muse

The Origins of Alcohol as a Muse

This is an edition of Time-Travel Thursdays, a journey through The Atlantic’s archives to contextualize the present. Sign up here. In 1973, a celebrated writer reportedly knocked on a new colleague’s door and held out a glass. “Pardon me,” he said by way of introduction. “I’m John Cheever. Could I borrow some scotch?” Raymond Carver did not share Cheever’s authorial renown at that time—that would come later. And he did not have scotch. He had only Smirnoff. In her 2013 book about writers and drinking, the British critic Olivia Laing describes how Cheever and Carver would drive to a nearby liquor store, stock up, and take alternating swigs of a bottle on their way to teach morning classes at the prestigious Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Stories about the use of excessive alcohol in the creative process can be found in The Atlantic’s earliest years. In 1868, for example, one article proposed that “artists, writers, and actors” were particularly prone to the “malady” of alcoholism “before they had any recognized place in the world.” Another noted that …

Reconnecting to the Muse | Psychology Today

Reconnecting to the Muse | Psychology Today

In addition to being a psychologist, I am a poet. I never consciously intend to write poems; the impulse just comes to me from time to time. Sometimes a line or a phrase of a poem comes into my head, or sometimes an idea or a framework for a whole poem. Then I sit down and start writing. It’s partly a process of crafting the raw material into a finished, structured whole and partly a process of remaining open, to allow other material to flow through and become part of the whole. If from anywhere, I would say that my poems come from “spiritual” states, moments of heightened awareness in which I feel connected to a deeper self, to nature, and to other people. I have noticed that I’m more likely to feel the impulse to write poems after a good meditation, after a quiet walk in the countryside, or just after a period of rest. This fits with research showing that meditation and other relaxed states of mind can enhance creativity. Many of the …

Goodbye, Llama? Meta launches new proprietary AI model Muse Spark — first since Superintelligence Labs’ formation

Goodbye, Llama? Meta launches new proprietary AI model Muse Spark — first since Superintelligence Labs’ formation

Meta has been one of the most interesting companies of the generative AI era — initially gaining a loyal and huge following of users for the release of its mostly open source Llama family of large language models (LLMs) beginning in early 2023 but coming to screeching halt last year after Llama 4 debuted to mixed reviews and ultimately, admissions of gaming benchmarks. That bumpy rollout of Llama 4 apparently spurred Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg to totally overhaul Meta’s AI operations in the summer of 2025, forming a new internal division, Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL) which he recruited 29-year-old former Scale AI co-founder and CEO Alexandr Wang to lead as Chief AI Officer. Now, today, Meta is showing us the fruits of that effort: Muse Spark, a new proprietary model that Wang says (posting on rival social network X, used more often by the machine learning community) is “the most powerful model that meta has released,” and has “support for tool-use, visual chain of thought, & multi-agent orchestration.” He also says it will …

The lead single, “SWIM,” centers on the resolve to keep moving forward through life’s waves and Lili Reinhart stars in the music video that was filmed on an actual ship in Lisbon. BTS will kick off their world tour on April 25. Kelly Klein: The Muse Who Shaped ’90s Fashion With Her Friend Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

Kelly Klein: The Muse Who Shaped ’90s Fashion With Her Friend Carolyn Bessette Kennedy

Together with Kelly, Calvin Klein took his eponymous brand to the next level. She was the one who came up with the idea of adapting men’s underwear for women. From the casual comment “there’s something sexy about wearing your boyfriend’s underwear” came one of the brand’s best-sellers and iconic designs, generating $70 million in 1984. Kelly Rector became a true reflection of the Calvin Klein woman, one who encapsulated glamour and sophistication in a simple cashmere knit dress. The couple married in 1986 while on a business trip to Rome. She wore an ensemble of silk pencil skirt, matching blazer, and a lace bodice, designed by Calvin. They were married until 2006, when their divorce was made official, although the couple had separated 10 years earlier. Ron Galella, Ltd./Getty Images But beyond being Calvin Klein’s wife or his muse, Kelly now defines herself on her Instagram account’s bio as a “designer, photographer, interior designer, author, ceramacist, and mother.” She has edited seven photography books. The first one, Pools, launched in 1992 at a party in …

The definitive Harry Styles style guide: from maximalist showman to minimalist muse

The definitive Harry Styles style guide: from maximalist showman to minimalist muse

What began as a cheeky departure from the matchy-matchy boyband uniform has, over the last decade, matured into one of contemporary fashion’s most compelling narratives – a sustained, ever-evolving conversation between masculinity, glamour and individuality. At its heart lies not a costume, but a personal style ethos that channels rock ’n’ roll flamboyance, British tailoring and a rejection of easy categorisation, all meticulously choreographed with his long-time stylist Harry Lambert.
