Elliot Page has revealed that landing his next acting job is proving difficult after The Odyssey. The actor starred as Sinon, the cousin of Odysseus (Matt Damon), in the Christopher Nolan-helmed epic, with his performance earning much praise from critics and audiences. But asked on the On Film… With Kevin McCarthy podcast whether he is “getting a zillion calls” after the role, Page revealed that, despite being able to “do some of my best work now”, he’s struggling to get cast in projects. “No, Kevin, I’m not. So, if someone wants to call me,” he responded, before joking: “I know I get some pushback for being Canadian. Enterprises trying to feed PDFs, slides and scanned documents into AI pipelines keep running into the same wall: the tools either miss the structure — tables, charts, layout — or cost too much to run at scale. Cohere released Parse 5 on Thursday, positioning it on price-to-performance, not raw accuracy — the right cost-capability mix for enterprise scale. Parse 5 is a 2.3-billion-parameter vision language model built to convert PDFs, slides and images into structured Markdown at enterprise scale.  Cohere’s own published benchmark comparison puts Parse 5 behind three larger, general-purpose frontier models on accuracy. GPT-5.5, Opus 4.8 and Gemini 3.5 Flash all score higher than Parse on the three ParseBench dimensions Cohere reports. Cohere is not claiming the top score. Facebook is going to begin testing whether users of its platform want to swap their newsfeeds for video feeds. The tech giant announced a slew of product updates Friday morning, and one of them is launching a full-screen “immersive video” player the moment a user opens the app. “People are showing us that they want more immersive, visual, video-forward experiences, and video is where conversations are happening, communities are forming, and even commerce is starting to take place,” wrote head of Facebook Tom Alison in a blog post. Alison adds that the company will begin testing the new video-first version of Facebook in select international markets this year, and will “explore bringing it to the U.S.” next year. Users will have the option to opt out and return to the feed-first Facebook, with the classic feed remaining available as a tab in the app. Still, testing making Facebook a video-first app underscores the changing dynamics of digital media. Despite The Odyssey receiving pre-release backlash from some people in the MAGA-verse, right-wing influencer Ben Shapiro is a fan of Christopher Nolan‘s take on the epic story. “The movie is a masterpiece,” he declares in an 18-minute review posted to YouTube, in which he gives the film an 8.5/9 on a 10-point scale. He praises Matt Damon as Odysseus and Robert Pattinson as Antinous and Tom Holland as Telemachus and has little issue with Zendaya as Athena and Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy. “I know a lot of people were like, ‘Oh my God, Lupita Nyong’o is supposed to look like Diane Kruger.’ I don’t know. Juggling schedules for my family of five is a constant source of stress. Every day I deal with calendars for three kids in three different schools, plus their extra-curricular activities and the constantly evolving work schedules of me and my husband.
