Kylie Kelce reveals body part that ‘bothers me’ most after having children

Kylie Kelce has opened up about the challenges of finding swimwear that makes her feel comfortable and confident in her postpartum body. The 34-year-old discussed the struggle during an episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast on June 4. “The feeling of putting on a bathing suit postpartum,” she said. Kylie admitted that while she once loved wearing micro bikinis, she has found it more difficult to feel confident in the style following the birth of her four children. “I need tummy control. You know what I mean,” she shared. “I need something that covers my belly button because … Here’s the true confession: You want a ‘not gonna lie’? Not gonna lie, I had my belly button pierced and it stretched out with the rest of my belly while I was making human beings and then it never went back. It is truly something that bothers me so much.” © Getty ImagesThe couple share four kids Kylie revealed that she’s currently looking for a trusted pair of “high-waisted bikini bottoms” to hide her belly …

Benchmark raises its first-ever growth fund as part of B capital raise

Benchmark raises its first-ever growth fund as part of $2B capital raise

Benchmark Capital, the storied Silicon Valley VC firm known for early investments in eBay, Snap, Uber, and Twitter, is breaking with one of its signature traditions: keeping its funds to about $425 million and backing only young startups. After more than two decades of restricting its vehicles to that amount or lower, the outfit has closed on commitments of $2 billion across two new funds, including a $1.25 billion vehicle dedicated to later-stage investments, according to the Wall Street Journal. While the fund sizes of many venture capital firms have ballooned into billions of dollars over the last decade, Benchmark stuck to the strategy that helped make it legendary. By being staunchly selective and taking a large—typically 20%—stake in every startup the firm backed, it maintained a model designed to maximize outsized returns for its limited partners. However, Benchmark’s relatively small fund sizes have likely prevented the firm from investing in capital-intensive AI startups, particularly foundation model makers, whose round sizes often reach into hundreds of millions. As a result, the firm hasn’t invested in …

US secretary of state Marco Rubio says Greenland is part of Denmark ‘for now’

“For now.” That’s how US secretary of state Marco Rubio responded when asked whether he was “aware that Greenland is indeed part of Denmark” during questioning by Congress. It was asked by Sarah McBride of the House of Representatives’ foreign affairs committee, who grilled Mr Rubio over Donald Trump‘s repeated pronouncements that the US should take control of the island. Mr Trump has long advocated for the mineral-rich, self-governing Danish territory to become part of the US and hasn’t ruled out using military force. Such action would create an existential crisis for the NATO alliance, of which America and Denmark are members. He has claimed the Danish military is incapable of defending Greenland from the likes of Russia and China, even though there are already US forces stationed there. Ms McBride asked Mr Rubio if the US “needs to own land within NATO to defend it”. He replied: “We are actually ‌involved in conversations with Greenland and Denmark on the use of Greenland for collective defence for all of us. It’s a key part of …

Pope Leo plays tennis religiously as part of an Augustinian devotion to sports and spirituality

PARIS (AP) — When Pope Leo XIV was elected last year and it emerged that he was a tennis player, his love of the sport was quickly celebrated during an audience with top-ranked Jannik Sinner. In the ensuing months, Leo has tried to set aside time in his busy schedule to play the sport every week as part of his Augustinian devotion to physical activity and spirituality. The Rule of St. Augustine, an ancient guide for religious life, highlights the value of good habits. “He’s trying to keep some regularity to his routine that comes from the Rule,” said the Rev. Rob Hagan, Prior of the Augustinian Province of St. Thomas of Villanova and team chaplain for the men’s basketball and football teams at Villanova University — the pope’s alma mater in Pennsylvania. Leo’s devotion to St. Augustine was evident when he made a pilgrimage during his Africa trip in April to the archaeological ruins in Algeria where the influential 5th century theologian and philosopher lived and died and wrote some of the most important …

Stargate legend reveals why they won’t be part of the new reboot

As beloved sci-fi franchise Stargate approaches its next iteration with a new Amazon MGM Studios series in the works, Richard Dean Anderson – who has played Jack O’Neill across multiple series and one film – has spoken about why he won’t be involved. Anderson appeared at Metz’Torii convention in France, where he was asked about the new series, which was confirmed to be in development in November 2025. Anderson said of the new project: “I talked to Brad Wright, who was the exec producer of my Stargate, and he talked to me about the new one. The new producers, the new owners, want to have their own entity with that franchise name attached to it. So, they’ll have all-new characters. “They haven’t asked me to be a part of it. I’m glad they’re not putting me on the spot to make it awkward to say, possibly, no. But, yeah, it’s different, it’s a new one. I’m the old guy.” Richard Dean Anderson. Che Rosales/Getty Images When asked whether he would make a cameo in the new …

Pro-Trump candidate lead in Colombia ‘part of Donroe doctrine’ asserting itself in region

Pro-Trump lawyer Aberaldo de la Espriella pulled ahead as a leader in Colombia’s race for the presidency in the first round of elections over the weekend, capitalizing on a growing appetite for heavy-handed crackdowns on criminal groups across Latin America. Speaking with FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen, Christopher Sabatini, Senior Research Fellow on the Americas at Chatham House, says that “this is really again a part of what’s unfortunately called the ‘Donroe’ doctrine asserting itself in partisan politics in Latin America”. Israel is extending its footprint through war. For some, it’s part of a greater plan : NPR

On the fringes of Israel’s far right, some activists and political leaders dream of a Greater Israel, extending the country’s area of control into neighboring countries. AYESHA RASCOE, HOST: Israel has extended beyond its borders in the last few years. It now controls big swaths of neighboring land in Gaza, Lebanon and even in Syria. By bombing and at times leveling towns and villages and displacing over 3 million people, according to U.N. figures, Israel has taken over areas its officials call security buffer zones. But some in Israel want to permanently extend their country’s borders using the Bible as a map. From Jerusalem, NPR’s Daniel Estrin reports. (SOUNDBITE OF ARCHIVED RECORDING) UNIDENTIFIED GROUP: (Singing in Hebrew). UNIDENTIFIED PERSON #1: (Non-English language spoken). UNIDENTIFIED GROUP: (Singing in Hebrew). DANIEL ESTRIN, BYLINE: About 10 Israeli activists film themselves singing and dancing in Syria. They just walked a few hundred feet across the Israeli border into the part of Syria the Israeli military has occupied since the fall of the Assad regime in late 2024. (SOUNDBITE OF …

AI: Artificial Intelligence Review Part 12

AI: Artificial Intelligence Review Part 12

What is “Real?” In the previous review, I finished my thoughts on the movie, but I wanted to spend some time refuting the thesis of both the short story, Super Toys Last All Summer Long, by Brian Aldiss, and the movie. The statement is as follows. “Nobody knows what ‘real’ really means.” There are numerous ways to approach this statement, but for the purposes of this article, I’m going to focus on refuting the question as it applies to humanity because, in the context of the story, “real” is being conflated with humanity and human value. In other words, “What makes a life valuable?” So, the story is not talking about how to determine reality as a whole; it’s really attacking human exceptionalism, claiming that if a robot can replicate a human’s behavior, then the robot’s and the human’s value are interchangeable, and, if one wants to be uncharitable, they could claim that a human life isn’t worth preserving if a robot can perform the same purpose. This is one of the reasons I believe the Flesh …

Violet Grohl: Be Sweet to Me review – alt-rock arriviste aces the part | Music

‘I’ll eat your liver,” Violet Grohl threatens on 595, a scuzzy, slasher-inspired alt-rock single that feels made for 90s MTV. Arch, deadpan verses give way to a big, bluesy, intentionally sleazy chorus, finished with blown-out guitar and squealing feedback: part Veruca Salt, part Queens of the Stone Age. Despite just turning 20, Grohl has the rock’n’roll credentials for her throwback sound. The eldest daughter of Foo Fighters’ Dave, Violet fronted a rare Nirvana reunion aged just 13 – her coolly authoritative vocals making it more symbolic than a mere family favour. The artwork for Be Sweet to Me While it’s true that her dad linked her with taste-making producer Justin Raisen (Kim Gordon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sky Ferreira) for this debut album, and its grungy tracks haven’t been road-tested in sticky dive bars that music like this usually demands, Grohl is admirably direct about her nepo status. “Decide for yourself if I’m worthy,” she told the Forty-Five. Cool Buzz, roaring and snotty, makes a persuasive case. Flashes of ska-inspired guitar à la No Doubt crash …
