A disqualified driver who caused the death of a great-grandfather by crashing into the garden where he was working and hitting him with a stolen Maserati has been jailed for 13 years and six months. Pensioner, 102, in critical condition after pub assault

A 102-year-old man is in a critical condition after allegedly being attacked in a pub in South Wales. The unnamed victim suffered serious injuries at his local pub, the Crow’s Nest in Cwmbran. Emergency services attended the scene at 10.25pm on Saturday Aug 1 and took the centenarian to hospital, where he remains in intensive care. Casey Smith, manager of the nearby Llanyrafon Social Club, said: “He’s been a regular in here for ages, we did his 100th birthday party. Obviously, we hope he’s on the mend – 102 isn’t exactly the best age to be injured.” A 56-year-old man from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm, and has since been released under investigation. Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses to the alleged assault at the venue, which is part of the Sizzling Pubs chain. A spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who was in the pub between 10pm and 11pm on August 1 to contact us.” Sizzling Pubs has been approached for comment. Source link

The unnamed pensioner suffered multiple injuries, including a horrific goring to his left elbow, as well as wounds to his left eyebrow and right hand. Yet, the 86-year-old wasn’t the only Brit to face the wrath of the rampaging herd. William Mitchinson, a 24-year-old tourist, was also hospitalised after being violently trampled by a bull. Speaking outside the Navarra University Hospital with his ankle in a brace, the young Brit admitted he only joined the run after seeing it on TikTok and Instagram. “I ran until the bull trampled me,” Mr Mitchinson said, according to Metro. “I’d seen …
