Kelsey Parker claims late husband Tom use kitchen clock to show he’s watching over his family

Kelsey Parker believes her late husband Tom Parker is connecting with her and their children through their kitchen clock. The 36-year-old made the remark as she opened up about how she is coping with his death four years after the Wanted singer passed away from brain cancer at the age of 33 – and after her recent pregnancy with partner Will Lindsay. Kelsey, who had daughter Aurelia, four, and son Bodhi, three, with Tom, said on the No Parental Guidance podcast: “Tom connects to us through our clock in the kitchen. The clock just starts spinning. People will be like, ‘It’s just the batteries’. “But you don’t understand. “We were reading Aurelia’s school report and the clock started spinning. It’s like here’s there saying, ‘I’m with you, I’m here’. I can just feel Tom with me, anyway. “What really got me was we said that Will’s here looking after Tom’s kids and Tom’s there looking after Will’s child.” Kelsey also spoke about a visit to a medium, which she said brought her comfort following the …

Phoenix Seminary to be acquired by Biola University

(RNS) — After three decades of independent operations, Phoenix Seminary is set to be acquired by the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University. The acquisition will elevate Talbot as the second-largest interdenominational seminary in the country and, with campuses just outside Phoenix and Los Angeles, the leading site of theological education within the two largest metropolitan areas west of the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1988, Phoenix Seminary is a nondenominational conservative evangelical Christian educational institution. Located in Scottsdale, Arizona, the institution’s faculty includes professor emeritus Wayne Grudem, who is best known for his seminal work, “Systematic Theology,” and for co-founding the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, which promotes a complementarian approach to marriage and gender. Ed Stetzer, the dean of Talbot School of Theology located in La Mirada, California, told Religion News Service that Phoenix Seminary’s board of directors reached out to Biola University to initiate the acquisition of its assets in early January. Biola University’s board of trustees unanimously approved the plan. In a comment to Christianity Today, Phoenix Seminary chairman Ron Ogan emphasized …

Eric Fischl and Frank Lloyd Wright Make Phoenix Feel Like the Future

As the plane starts its final descent, the first thought you might have is: How can all of this be here? Another that may irk you, particularly if you’ve been keeping up with the news about the dwindling Colorado River, is: None of this should be here. Communities in Action: Alex Zygmunt, President of Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix

The Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix has adopted the tagline “Humans. Helping. Humans” – and they live up to it. Whether gathering in their brick-and-mortar humanist community center or venturing into the broader Phoenix community, their team shares a belief that humanism is something you do, not just something you believe. For our April edition of Community in Action, president Alex Zygmunt shares more about HSGP’s local programs and future goals.  When did you first become involved with your chapter, and what motivated you to join?  My name is Alex Zygmunt – I’m the president of the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix. I started here in 2015, just volunteering, and then went from there. Before my now-wife and I moved out here, I’d served on boards in South Carolina. We moved here for her to finish school at ASU. One of the things that was important to me was a sense of community. Before we moved, I decided to look up what humanist chapters were available – I stalked their Facebook page and Meetup page …

Zoox starts mapping Dallas and Phoenix for its robotaxis

Zoox is now mapping the streets of Dallas, Texas, and Phoenix, Arizona, as a precursor to testing its autonomous vehicles in the two Sun Belt cities. The company said on Monday that it had sent a small number of its Toyota Highlander SUVs to each city, where workers will drive them to help Zoox’s autonomous software get the lay of the land. Zoox will afterwards start testing its self-driving system using the SUVs in both cities, before switching to its purpose-built robotaxis. Zoox said the two new markets will help it collect data in areas that are different from the dense metros its vehicles currently operate in. Once the company goes live in Dallas and Phoenix, Zoox will operate in 10 cities in the United States, alongside Atlanta, Austin, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. The company is currently offering free rides in Las Vegas and San Francisco through its early-rider program. Zoox said it has driven more than a million autonomous miles in Las Vegas and …
