Detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have received a dossier of new evidence relating to the prime suspect in the case. It has been revealed by The Sun that police were handed crucial files containing fresh information about Christian Brueckner, the German national currently identified as the main suspect. The newly submitted documents have been passed to the Metropolitan Police, who continue to investigate the case under Operation Grange. Plans to extradite Brueckner remain a “long way off”, but the dossier handover proves a significant gear-shift by the Met.
