SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health (MOH) will set aside up to S$45 million (US$35.6 million) over the next four years to help healthcare providers bear the costs of contributing to the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR). From early next year, all licensed healthcare providers will be required to share patients’ health information with the central repository. They must also implement safeguards to protect that data, and promptly notify MOH of any confirmed cybersecurity incidents or breaches. CNA previously reported concerns from doctors, particularly those running smaller clinics, about the costs of compliance.  The one-off funding, called the NEHR Connect Grant, will be available from July. Providers using subscription-based health information management systems – which MOH said make up the majority of smaller practices – can receive funding to cover about two years of subscription costs for systems compliant with the Health Information Act. ISTANBUL, March 2 : Turkey’s ruling AK Party proposed on Monday adopting a tax on cryptocurrency income and a transaction levy on crypto asset service providers, in a draft law submitted to parliament. “Platforms must apply a 10 per cent withholding tax on income and gains from crypto‑asset transactions on a quarterly basis,” the text of the draft said. Profits from crypto asset transactions conducted outside authorized platforms would be taxed through declaration in annual statements. Under the proposal, crypto asset service providers would pay a 0.03 per cent transaction tax on sale and transfer transactions they conduct or mediate. Turkish authorities have steadily tightened oversight of platforms as cryptocurrency use in Turkey surged in recent years, driven largely by high inflation and the lira’s depreciation. Turkey ranks among the world’s highest in crypto adoption and annual transaction volumes, reaching nearly $200 billion in 2025, far surpassing other markets in the region, U.S.-based blockchain research company Chainalysis said in a report.  Source link

A number of licensed wagering providers are said to have breached self-exclusion rules, according to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). The independent commonwealth statutory authority, in Australia, regulates communications and media services in the country and it has just announced it has carried out a number of investigations. The ACMA says investigations found Tabcorp, LightningBet, Betfocus, TempleBet, Picklebet, and BetChamps “all failed to comply with rules that protect people who registered with BetStop – the National Self-Exclusion Register.” The ACMA has found six wagering providers in breach of gambling self‑exclusion rules for failing to adequately identify and protect people who had self‑excluded.
