It’s a Friday night in 1997: you’re walking aimlessly through a room full of rows and rows of VHS tapes illuminated by unflattering light and a very particular carpet-and-plastic scent in the air. After three or four circuits around ye olde Blockbuster block, you and your buds would inevitably meet at the romance section and pick out some faves before heading to the check-out with your plastic card. Don’t forget the Junior Mints and microwave bucket popcorn; it’s gonna be a long evening in front of the tube. Ahhhhh, life was simpler back then.
