Following the call, Trump posted on Truth Social that Iran truce talks, which have reportedly included discussions about ending hostilities in Lebanon, were “continuing, at a rapid pace” after suggesting that Israel had halted operations in Beirut. iPhone users may soon find it easier to divide the restaurant bill when dining out with a group of friends. Apple is readying a new feature in iOS 27 that will allow users to photograph a receipt, assign items on the receipt to different people and generate payment requests, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The new feature will be tied to Apple’s peer-to-peer Apple Cash feature in the Wallet app, which lets users send, receive and request money directly through their iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch without a third-party app. The feature is expected to be announced as early as next week at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, Gurman wrote Monday. Unfortunately, it appears the company overlooked a major flaw: Meta’s AI support chatbot could apparently be tricked into providing unauthorized users with login access to any Instagram account. Over the past few days, a number of highly followed Instagram accounts were hacked. The Obama White House Instagram account, with 2.4 million followers, was compromised and posted a caption on Sunday that stated: “The White House is under Shiites’ control.” Other accounts, such as the official Instagram account belonging to the Chief Master Sergeant of Space Force, were also hacked. If you’ve had your sights set on sliding on a pair of Apple’s smart glasses, you’re going to have to wait a little longer than previously thought. Apple is now aiming to release the much-rumored AI glasses in “late 2027,” according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The glasses were previously expected to be announced later this year and begin shipping in early 2027, but Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter Sunday that Apple has experienced “bumps” in development. Apple’s smart glasses are regarded as a key component of the company’s product roadmap, Gurman writes. Meta is developing an AI-powered pendant that it plans to start testing in the next year, according to a memo viewed by The Information. This device would presumably build on the work of Limitless, an AI device startup that Meta acquired at the end of 2025. The startup made an AI pendant that users could attach to their shirt or wear as a necklace to record their conversations.  At the time, Meta said the acquisition would allow it to “accelerate our work to build AI-enabled wearables.” Earlier AI wearables have failed to catch on with consumers — perhaps due to privacy concerns and tone-deaf marketing, or perhaps because they just weren’t that useful. But companies like OpenAI aren’t giving up. The memo also reportedly states that the company is planning to expand its lineup of AI glasses and launch a business subscription called Wearables for Work.
