On May 30, 2024, Collins felt dismayed that then-President Biden had pursued reelection. In a fit of anger, he donated $225 to Donald Trump’s campaign. “It was just an impulsive thing,” Collins said in an interview. “Biden had said he was going to run again. I was like, nope. He’d said he wasn’t. It was more about that than anything. I don’t post anything political or talk about anything politically.
