Third-party tags work well for both iOS and Android. Any tracking tag dramatically increases the chances of recovering lost items. Out of all the gear I’ve tested over the past few years, none has changed my life for the better like Apple AirTags. My grandpa had a saying — “a place for everything, and everything in its place” — but try as I might to be a tidy person like he was, I’m just never going to remember where I’ve put down my keys or in which bag or coat my wallet happens to be. I guess nobody’s perfect. Also: I bought an earwax camera for my toolkit and use it for everything but my ears AirTags changed all that. It wasn’t long before I’d attached tags to my keys, wallet, and bags that honestly, my life was improved, reducing home frustrations and travel anxieties in one fell swoop. Since then, the …
With less than a month to go until Rivals returns for its second season, the show has unveiled a bumper-length trailer letting fans know what’s in store this time around. Although specific plot points are still being kept under wraps for the time being, the new trailer teases the return of David Tennant’s corrupt Lord Tony Baddingham, more of the fan-favourite romance between Danny Dyer’s Freddie Jones and Katherine Parkinson’s Lizzie Vereker and, of course, all the battling, bitching and bonking that made season one such a hit on both sides of the Atlantic. An official synopsis released by Disney+ on Thursday teases: “The battle for the Central South West television franchise reaches a fever pitch as the war between Corinium and Venturer enters a dangerous new phase. “More ruthless than ever, Tony Baddingham is determined to dismantle his rivals piece-by-piece, weaponising scandal and manipulating those closest to him to maintain his grip on power.” Take a look at the Rivals season two trailer for yourself below: Alex Hassell and Aidan Turner return as Rupert …
April 14 : OpenAI on Tuesday unveiled GPT-5.4-Cyber, a variant of its latest flagship model fine-tuned specifically for defensive cybersecurity work, following rival Anthropic’s announcement of frontier AI model Mythos. Mythos, announced on April 7, is being deployed as part of Anthropic’s “Project Glasswing”, a controlled initiative under which select organizations are permitted to use the unreleased Claude Mythos Preview model for defensive cybersecurity purposes. It has found “thousands” of major vulnerabilities in operating systems, web browsers and other software. OpenAI, creator of popular chatbot ChatGPT, said that GPT-5.4-Cyber will initially be rolled out on a limited basis to vetted security vendors, organizations and researchers because of its more permissive design. The company is also expanding its Trusted Access for Cyber program to thousands of verified individual defenders and hundreds of teams protecting critical software, it said in a post on its website. OpenAI is adding new tiers to its TAC program, which was launched in February, with higher levels of verification unlocking more powerful capabilities. Users approved for the highest tier will gain access …
Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech Late last year, news emerged that Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta would be shedding its open source roots to instead work on a closed model like the vast majority of its competitors. Now we’ve finally gotten a first glimpse of the fruit of its labor: Muse Spark, codenamed Avocado and developed by the company’s unbelievably expensive Superintelligence Labs. But there’s a big problem that could undermine its flashy new announcement. Despite investors buying into the enthusiasm, sending Meta’s shares soaring six percent following the announcement, the company admitted it likely won’t be able to keep up with competing models. An executive told Bloomberg that the new model won’t be able to keep up with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude or Google’s Gemini. In a blog post announcing the new model, the company admitted Muse Spark “is an early data point on our trajectory, and we have larger models in development. As such, the announcement is a bit of an enigma: if …

Following leaked revelations at the end of March that Anthropic had developed a powerful new Claude model, the company formally announced Mythos Preview on Tuesday along with news of an industry consortium it has convened, known as Project Glasswing, to grapple with the cybersecurity implications of the new model and advancing capabilities more generally across the AI field. The group includes Microsoft, Apple, and Google as well as Amazon Web Services, the Linux Foundation, Cisco, Nvidia, Broadcom, and more than 40 other tech, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and financial organizations that will have private access to the model, which is not yet being generally released. The idea, in part, is simply to give the developers of the world’s foundational tech platforms time to turn Mythos Preview on their own systems so they can mitigate vulnerabilities and exploit chains that the model develops in simulated attacks. More broadly, Anthropic emphasizes that the purpose of convening the effort is to kickstart urgent exploration of how AI capabilities across the industry are on the precipice, the company says, of …

A study published in Scientific Reports found that heterosexual women report greater jealousy when imagining women with more feminine faces flirting with their romantic partner. This pattern was also present in lesbian participants, though the strength of the association was significantly weaker. Facial femininity is the degree to which a person’s facial features display traits that are typically associated with female faces. These traits include larger eyes, fuller lips, a smaller jaw and chin, higher eyebrows, and smoother facial contours. Facial femininity is influenced by biological factors such as sex hormones, especially estrogen, during development. Researchers most often study facial femininity in the context of evolutionary psychology and social perception. In general, women with feminine faces tend to be perceived as more attractive, more youthful, and healthier. Studies have also indicated that facial femininity can influence social judgments—women with highly feminine faces tend to be perceived as warmer, kinder, and more trustworthy. Study author Junzhi Dong and his colleagues note that evolutionary theory suggests individuals displaying cues of higher “mate value” (e.g., those who are …
Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro pros and cons Pros Comfortable Incredible sound Great Galaxy integration Cons No upgrades to battery Few notable software upgrades Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. I commented a few weeks ago that Samsung’s new Galaxy Buds 4 Pro are boring. And, they are, but that’s not an inherently bad thing. Compared to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro from 2024, the Buds 4 Pro’s most noticeable enhancements are their refined design and the introduction of head gestures, while incremental improvements to noise cancellation, durability, and audio tuning don’t go unnoticed. Some features make a comeback, including 360 audio, live translation, and Galaxy AI integration. Also: If Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 bore you, I hope you’re ready for camera-equipped earbuds After a week of using the buds, my verdict is that there’s no doubt these are the best Samsung buds so far, and they only get better when used within the Galaxy ecosystem. Are they worth upgrading if you have the Buds 3 Pro? Maybe not, but you’ll be pleased if …
