Last month I reviewed the $1,200 Yozma IN10 and called it unstoppable at its price point. Then I promised to come back with another thousand dollars and the Pro. Here we are. The base $1200 IN10 made a compelling case for itself as a teen’s trail machine. The Pro makes a different argument entirely. Same fun Yozma DNA, same off-road-only positioning — but the numbers have jumped into territory that starts to make you ask harder questions. The IN10 Pro is rated at 5,500W peak with 220Nm of torque and a claimed 50mph top speed. For context: that’s not eMoto-for-kids territory anymore. That’s approaching light electric motorcycle territory, at a fraction of the price. Ron Howard has directed more than two dozen movies over his career, but he admits he still gets nervous every time he’s about to show it to the world for the first time. For Richard Avedon, as with most significant artists, work and life were inseparable. When the photographer died in 2004, at 81, he was on the road, mid-project — “with his boots on,” in the words of Lauren Hutton, one of the many beautiful people he helped to immortalize over a 60-year career. Hutton and the two dozen or so other interviewees in Ron Howard’s admiring documentary make it clear how much affection the New York native inspired while reinventing fashion photography and putting his iconoclastic stamp on fine-art portraiture. The profile Avedon paints is that of a relentless seeker and high-flying achiever, and a deliciously unapologetic contrarian. Ron DeSantis’ attempt to do away with anti-gerrymandering provisions in the state constitution had its first day in court Friday, as opposing attorneys pushed a Tallahassee judge to put a temporary hold on new congressional lines that created four additional GOP-leaning seats. A series of lawsuits from advocacy groups challenging the map argue in large part that Jason Pereda, the DeSantis administration’s map-drawer, used political data to draw the new districts, which they say makes them unconstitutional in Florida after voters passed the Fair Districts amendments with 63% support in 2010. Ron DeSantis on Monday released a proposed redraw of the state’s congressional lines that, on paper, would create four new GOP-leaning seats — an aggressive proposal that the governor is using to try to challenge anti-gerrymandering language in the state Constitution.
