However, his comeback was somewhat overshadowed by some questionable CGI. The Punisher series, which aired on Netflix from 2017 until 2019, was revived on Tuesday (12 May) by Disney+, with the streamer releasing a final special starring Bernthal as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. However, fans streaming The Punisher: One Last Kill have spotted an unfortunate blunder during a fight scene in which Frank is thrown off a building and lands on a large metal air vent. As he flies through the air, a computer-generated version of Bernthal is seen landing on the crumpling structure before the real actor gets back on his feet. Rivals’ Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfitt talk navigating love scenes

This article first appeared in Radio Times magazine. With pulses racing, feuds brewing and romance blossoming, it’s time to celebrate the return of Rivals. RT spoke with actors Aidan Turner and Victoria Smurfit to get their take on Rutshire’s latest exploits. Aidan Turner Were you happy to grow the ‘tache again? I quite like the ’tache. It’s comfortable, and it’s good for the character. They’re quite popular these days so I don’t feel out of place with it. Do you feel nostalgic on set? I love seeing the old food wrappers. Declan goes to buy fireworks, and the shelves are stacked with 80s food, and it’s gorgeous to see all that stuff. What were you like in the 80s? I had a BMX and I was one of the first kids on the street to have a Nintendo; I was pretty popular until another kid got a Sega Mega Drive! My son turned four recently and he wanted a Spider-Man theme for his party, and I had a flashback to me in a Spider-Man outfit …

Sydney Sweeney In Devil Wears Prada 2 And More Actors Whose Scenes Were Cut From Major Films

Sydney Sweeney In Devil Wears Prada 2 And More Actors Whose Scenes Were Cut From Major Films

Not even the biggest names in Hollywood are safe from the cutting room floor – and once a director hits the editing suite, the most A-list of A-listers can still find their scenes have been axed from a major film. Whether it’s a change in direction, contractual issues or a long runtime, there are many reasons why an actor might not make the cut, regardless of how they performed on set. Here are just a handful of stars who gave their all, only to find their performances didn’t make it into the final edit… The Devil Wears Prada 2 was a star-studded affair – but as Sydney Sweeney found out, not every cameo was included in the finished film The Devil Wears Prada 2 was jam-packed with famous cameos, but some celebrities’ performances didn’t make the cut. Emmerdale airs emotional Jacob and Sarah scenes as Dr Todd closes in

Emmerdale airs emotional Jacob and Sarah scenes as Dr Todd closes in

Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) is playing a very dangerous game in Emmerdale, and now her months of manipulation towards Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) are starting to unravel. She’s constantly blowing hot and cold with the medic – allowing him to believe that he could never fully qualify as a doctor in one instance, and in the next, implying that she’s fully supportive of his career. After speaking to a HR representative about Todd’s behaviour, Jacob discovered that he wasn’t alone in being bullied, and that several other colleagues have wanted to complain about her. This would be the perfect opportunity to bring her down. However, on the other side of the hospital, a vicious situation was unfolding. Todd had overheard the fact that the baby Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) was carrying for granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and Jacob wasn’t actually theirs. The child was conceived during a brief fling between Charity and ex-lover Ross Barton (Michael Parr), and has been a closely-guarded secret ever since. Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) confronted Dr. Todd (Caroline Harker) …

Sarah Parish: ‘Sex scenes in the Nineties could get pretty awkward’

The laugh she emits moments later, throaty and faintly lascivious, sounds like a car engine turning over. The archetypal role she’s talking about, in films and TV, is in the likes of Christmas staple The Holiday (2006), as the sozzled Daily Telegraph editor to Kate Winslet’s lovesick columnist; patchy romcom The Wedding Date (2005), as the perennially worse-for-wear TJ; and across three series of BBC drama Mistresses, as a GP whose penchant for the wine rack is as liberal as her approach to medical ethics. “I wasn’t playing far from type,” she says, recalling times spent in the late Nineties staggering through Soho House, drink in hand. “We were of an age where we could do a whole day’s filming, then go out …

Meryl Streep on “Beef” With Goldie Hawn, Robert Redford Love Scenes, and What Her Grandchildren Call Her

Meryl Streep on “Beef” With Goldie Hawn, Robert Redford Love Scenes, and What Her Grandchildren Call Her

“You can cut it off now, thank you,” Meryl Streep says with a laugh after revisiting the first of various clips from her five-decade career for Vanity Fair’s Scene Selection. She may feel discomfort watching her work, but the three-time Oscar winner is happy to dish behind-the-scenes stories—from starring opposite Robert De Niro and then boyfriend John Cazale in the 1978 Vietnam epic The Deer Hunter to her latest, the hotly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2. Twenty years after the events of the original 2006 film, existing in a media landscape in which “everybody is destabilized,” Streep’s Runway magazine editor in chief Miranda Priestly’s “authority is slightly under siege,” says the 76-year-old actor. “Who takes charge of this movie? It’s not Miranda, clearly. Who takes charge is Emily Blunt,” says Streep. “So I felt like I could relax with my friends a little bit better. And also I’m older and I don’t probably give as many fucks as I used to.” Elsewhere on her rewatch, Streep (or “Mimi,” as her grandchildren call her) recalls …

House of the Spirits author feared certain scenes would look “ridiculous”

House of the Spirits author feared certain scenes would look “ridiculous”

Prime Video’s latest literary adaptation of House of the Spirits brings author Isabel Allende’s sweeping, multi-generational family saga to the screen. First published in 1982, the celebrated novel is a cornerstone of magical realism, weaving the fantastical elements into everyday life – something which Allende admits she was initially concerned could look “ridiculous” on screen. “I told them, this is very difficult to do on a screen because it looks ridiculous,” the acclaimed author told Radio Times in a recent interview. “But they did it in a very subtle way… they totally integrated it in a natural way, which was very hard to do with a film.” Magical realism – a genre that blends the supernatural into the everyday – is central to the story, particularly through the character of Clara del Valle Trueba (played by both Nicole Wallace and Dolores Fonzi). The clairvoyant matriarch predicts major events before they happen, levitates objects with her mind and communicates with the dead. OnlyFans Models Weigh In On Euphoria's Controversial Sydney Sweeney Scenes

OnlyFans Models Weigh In On Euphoria's Controversial Sydney Sweeney Scenes

Sydney Sweeney as Cassie in the most recent season of Euphoria OnlyFans creators have been weighing in on the storyline involving Sydney Sweeney’s character in the new season of Euphoria. In the first two instalments of the current season, viewers discovered that Cassie, played by the Emmy nominee, had turned to modelling on the adults-only website OnlyFans to help fund her lavish wedding to Jacob Elordi’s Nate. As the storyline progressed, Cassie began taking part in increasingly extreme photo-shoots, which has so far generated a lot of debate among critics and Euphoria fans. Off the back of the controversy, many real-life OnlyFans performers have been sharing their takes on Cassie’s story arc, with a range of different opinions. Alex Paige Moore has suggested that Euphoria oversimplifies how easy it is to become successful on OnlyFans. “It’s not as simple as ‘send a message and make $50’ – if it was, everyone would be doing it,” Alex claimed. “Most creators start on $1–2k (around £750–£1480) a month. It takes serious strategy, social media presence and consistency …
