Zelensky Telegraphs 40-Day Pressure Offensive On Russia, Fueling Fears Of Slide Toward WW3

The Ukraine war is quite obviously escalating, especially regarding Ukrainian leaders seeking to “bring the war” to Russian soil, amid nightly drone attacks which have come in the hundreds and even thousands of late. President Volodymyr Zelensky is seeking to seize on the momentum of repeat drone hits on Russian refinery and energy infrastructure – a reality Russia has suffered over many months, leading to a current fuel crisis spanning dozens of cities and regions, and especially Crimea, which has temporarily halted fuel sales to common citizens altogether this week. Ukrainian media is touting a new Zelensky plan to ramp up the pressure on Russia over the next 40 days, aimed at “pressuring Russia to end its war”. Ukrainian Presidential Office He has ordered Ukraine’s State Security Service (SBU) to launch a new 40-day operation, which also includes “plan for long-range sanctions, medium-range sanctions, and the results achieved by the SBU,” Zelensky said on X. He’s further calling it an “influence operation.” “For several months in a row, the SBU has demonstrated the highest performance …

iOS 27 Notifications Will Slide in From Left Side of Your iPhone’s Screen

iOS 27 Notifications Will Slide in From Left Side of Your iPhone’s Screen

Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman today revealed another iOS 27 change: notifications will slide in from the left side of the screen instead of from the top. In addition, accessing Notification Center on iOS 27 will require swiping down on the top-left corner of the screen. If you swipe down on the Dynamic Island area, a new “Search or Ask” interface tied to the revamped Siri will appear, instead of Notification Center. This change may be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and newer if the “Search or Ask” interface ends up requiring an iPhone model with Apple Intelligence. Apple is set to unveil iOS 27 during its WWDC 2026 keynote on Monday, and the first developer beta should be available on the same day. A public beta typically follows in July, and the update should be widely released in September. How the Middle East conflict is worsening Somalia’s slide into famine

Mustafe Denbil runs an agricultural shop and farm in northern Somalia, but three months after he ordered fertilizer and pesticides, the supplies his business needs are still stranded in Dubai. Denbil, chairman of Horn Gardens in the city of Hargeisa, says the delays, driven by disruptions linked to the war in the Middle East, are hitting farmers and families across the country, as soaring food and fuel prices deepen an already severe hunger crisis and push Somalia closer to famine. “Now, when families come to our store, they may not get all what they need as they used to five months ago,” he told NBC News by phone. “The small farmers cannot even afford to buy at this new price.” The East African nation was already facing one of its worst food security crises in years. Six million people, about 31% of the population, are experiencing high levels of acute food insecurity, including 1.9 million people facing emergency conditions, the …

FedEx, UPS Slide After Amazon Opens Freight Network To All Businesses

Shares of transportation and logistics giants FedEx and UPS dropped in premarket trading after Amazon debuted Amazon Supply Chain Services, opening its freight network to sellers far beyond the Amazon marketplace. Amazon said ASCS is a move to “open its freight, distribution, fulfillment, and parcel shipping capabilities to businesses of all types and sizes.” It gives companies outside the Amazon marketplace access to a global delivery network with two- to five-day delivery and 24/7 service. “With this launch, Amazon is expanding its third-party logistics capacity to support businesses in industries such as healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, and retail,” Amazon noted. Amazon said the move mirrors its AWS playbook: build infrastructure for its own operations, prove it internally, then sell it externally. This story may sound familiar. Amazon built another major offering—cloud infrastructure—for the same reason: to run its own business better. And then Amazon started selling it. That’s how Amazon Web Services (AWS) was born, and it’s transformed how the world builds and runs software. Now, Amazon is ready to do that for the supply chain. …

This visualization, via Visual Capitalist’s Niccolo Conte, tracks the U.S. happiness ranking from 2011 to 2025, based on data from the World Happiness Report 2026. Each annual ranking is based on a three-year average of life evaluation survey responses rather than a single year. For example, the 2025 ranking reflects responses from 2023–2025. The decline accelerated more recently. The U.S. dropped eight spots to 23rd in 2023, reached a low of 24th in 2024, …

Celsius, Monster Shares Slide As Costco Unveils 70-Cent Kirkland Energy Drink

The supplement industry news website Stack3d reports that Costco has expanded its Kirkland Signature brand into energy drinks, a move likely to catch the attention of anyone who consumes these amped-up drinks throughout the day, given the sub-$1-per-can price point. Energy drink stocks are trading lower mid-session on Tuesday, though it is unclear whether this is due to Kirkland’s entry into the space. “Kirkland Signature Sparkling Energy Drink is now showing up in Costco warehouses in a variety pack of 24 cans, with eight cans each of three different flavors: Tropical, Peach, and Orange,” Stack3d wrote in a note on Monday afternoon. Stack3d noted that each of these Kirkland cans includes “some taurine, glucuronolactone, and, of course, caffeine at 200mg, similar to Ghost and Celsius.” A 24-pack of energy drinks retails for $16.99 at Costco. The math works out to about 70 cents per can, a massive savings that will really add up for the daily user who spends roughly $2 to $3, if not more, per can. Based on current prices, Celsius 12-oz. singles …
