He was 73. In a Monday statement announcing his death, Marvel described Conway as a legendary comic book writer with a prolific career. He died of pancreatic cancer on Sunday in Thousand Oaks, California, his wife, Laura Conway, told The Associated Press. “From Spider-Man to the Avengers, Iron Man to Captain Marvel, Gerry Conway has deftly written almost every character in the Marvel Universe,” Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski said. “Gerry Conway’s legacy has made an undeniable and indelible impact on the Super Hero stories we know and love. With two huge movies out this year, Tom Holland will be popping up in many places across the globe in 2026. On Wednesday morning, the actor appeared in one of the more unlikely spots — atop a parking garage at Sherman Oaks Galleria — but for good reason. His non-alcoholic beer brand, BERO, presented its second annual Padel Classic, an invite-only tournament featuring talent across sports, entertainment and culture. Simu Liu, Steve Aoki, Rainn Wilson, Jay Shetty and Diplo were there, as was Holland’s other half, Zendaya, who showed up to support BERO and his tourney. “BERO’s whole message is community and reaching out to people, friendship and hanging out with one another,” Holland explained to The Hollywood Reporter before the first ball was tossed in the air. “Padel, for me, is one of my favorite sports. The show, which is set to debut on MGM+ on May 25 before arriving on Prime Video on May 27, will give streaming viewers the choice whether to watch a color or monochrome version of the show. Sony put on its superhero cape and will bring one of its best franchises to PlayStation Plus in February. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will swing onto the subscription service on Feb. 17, along with nine other games. The heroic sequel, originally released in 2023, picks up after Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and lets you play as both Spider-Men.  PlayStation Plus, which is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Pass, offers a large, constantly expanding library of games. Subscribers can choose from the Essential, Extra and Premium tiers, each with unique perks and benefits. Starting at $10 a month for the Essential tier, the plans give subscribers access to monthly games and rewards, but it’s the Extra ($15 per month) and Premium ($18 per month) tiers that allow access to the PlayStation Plus game catalog.
