Fury as terrorist ringleader cleared for release AGAIN | UK | News

A convicted terrorist linked to a plot involving a toy car bomb attack on an army base is set to be released for the second time after parole officials rejected efforts to keep him behind bars. The Express reported at the time how Zahid Iqbal was jailed in 2013 after plotting a terrorist bomb attack against an army site. The case has now reignited uproar after a challenge against his release failed, despite concerns raised by experts involved in the process. What was Zahid Iqbal convicted of? Iqbal was among four men convicted over a proposed attack against a Territorial Army base using a bomb attached to a remote-control car. During the investigation, members of the group discussed material from an online al-Qaeda publication titled “How to make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom — by the al-Qaeda chef”. Iqbal, identified as one of the leading figures in the group, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 11 years and three months, alongside an extended licence period. Ivanka Trump Was Reportedly Targeted For Assassination By IRGC Terrorist

First Daughter Ivanka Trump was allegedly targeted in an assassination plot by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-trained terrorist seeking revenge for the killing of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani. Iraqi national Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, reportedly pledged to kill Ivanka Trump and was found with a blueprint of her Florida home after his recent capture, according to an exclusive report from the New York Post. The alleged plot traces directly to the January 2020 drone strike that killed Soleimani in Baghdad.  Al-Saadi, who US authorities describe as a high-ranking operative within Iraq-Iran terror circles, had reportedly idolized the IRGC Quds Force commander as a father figure after his father died in a plane crash in 2006. That personal connection, analysts say, transformed a political grievance into something far more volatile. Ivanka Trump, 44, who converted to Orthodox Judaism before marrying Jared Kushner in 2009, emerged as Al-Saadi’s primary target.  Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché at the Iraqi embassy in Washington and now head of the Future Foundation, says Al-Saadi began openly vowing …

Man Arrested for Allegedly Planning Terrorist Attack at Louvre

French authorities arrested a 27-year-old Tunisian man last Thursday for allegedly planning a terrorist attack at the Louvre in Paris. The news was confirmed by the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) and first reported by Le Monde. The arrest was made as part of an investigation into the man’s “participation in a terrorist conspiracy in preparation for crimes against persons” and that he planned “an action inspired by jihadist ideology,” PNAT told Le Monde. The investigation’s findings pointed toward an alleged planned attack at either the Louvre or a site that would’ve impacted the Jewish community in Paris’s 16th arrondissement, per Le Monde, which added that “no precise target had been selected.” Related Articles According to Le Monde, the investigation began in late April when the man, identified as Dhafer M., was arrested in central Paris for driving with a fake license. He was then found to not have the proper documents for residency in France. He was released nine days after the traffic stop as he sought to appeal deportation proceedings. Between his release …

London police say stabbing of 2 Jewish men is declared a terrorist incident

LONDON (AP) — Two Jewish men were stabbed and injured in a London street on Wednesday, in what police called an act of terrorism. Police arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder in the city’s latest antisemitic attack. The Metropolitan Police said the attack in the Golders Green area left two men, aged 34 and 76, hospitalized with knife wounds. Counterterror police are investigating whether the stabbings are linked to recent arson attacks on synagogues and other Jewish sites in the British capital. Politicians condemned the attack. “Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer said. The security organization Shomrim said a suspect “was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public.” It said the suspect was detained by Shomrim members and arrested by police, who used a stun gun on him. Surveillance camera footage showed a man beside a bus stop donning a kippah, or traditional skullcap, before a passerby with a knife lunges at him. Police said the …
