Digital Notebook Throwdown (2026): Kindle Scribe, ReMarkable Paper Pure

I also like that the Kindle Scribe stylus has a button on it that switches to highlight mode, which is especially convenient as a reader if you wanted to easily switch from underlining or note-taking to highlighting a passage. While the ReMarkable is more accurate and has an impressive paper feel to it, I actually think either Scribe model feels a little more comfortable and convenient to use, especially since you don’t need to pay extra for the eraser point. But the slimmer second-generation Scribe is slightly more comfortable to write with, at least for my hands. Robot Vacuum Throwdown: Shark Versus Dyson (2026)

It was much easier to tell when Shark was using its AI feature and when it found spots. The UV Reveal uses the LEDs on the vacuum’s sides to show you when it’s scanning the floor with its ultraviolet light to find spots and stains, then it waits until it finishes its initial clean to analyze the footage and identify where it wants to return. In a now-infamous viral moment from a Munich panel discussion, Ocasio-Cortez fumbled her way through her initial response to a question that, in all fairness, is one of the most difficult in contemporary international relations: Should the U.S. commit to defending Taiwan with military force in the event of a Chinese invasion? The correct and succinct answer, I would argue, is no. But no one in American politics, left, right or center, can afford to say that straight up. Here is how she responded: Um, you know, I think that I, uh, this is such a, you know, I think that this is a, this …
