In each season of Married at First Sight, a lineup of hopeful singles walk down the aisle to be greeted by a complete stranger, someone who has supposedly been selected as their perfect match. A mock wedding ensues – and the “newlyweds”, two people who have never previously laid eyes on each other, then proceed to move in together to see if they can make their relationship work. And throughout every tentative kiss, stony silence and explosive row, the cameras are rolling. Chances are you invested quite a bit into the TV since OLED TVs are among the most expensive you can buy. So, you’ll want to ensure that you protect that investment. Apple TV’s Hilarious New Horror Series Is a Small-Town Comedy Unlike Anything on TV

Apple TV’s Hilarious New Horror Series Is a Small-Town Comedy Unlike Anything on TV

It’s been a while since a horror series grabbed my attention, like really grabbed my attention. We’re living in an era where genre programming feels plentiful, yet formulaic — where the algorithm can overpower originality. It’s important to say that, because I’ve discovered a new horror show that, through its familiar-feeling aesthetic, feels fresh, original and requires my complete attention. I’m talking about Widow’s Bay on Apple TV, and if this is the first you’ve heard of the series, the best way I can describe it is to ask, what if Parks and Recreation was created by Stephen King? If that question stopped you in your tracks, then you’re going to want to read what I have to say.  This is a show that blends the small-town sensibilities of The Andy Griffith Show with David Lynch’s Twin Peaks. It’s quaint like the beach scenes from Jaws; it’s terrifying like the shark scenes from, well, Jaws. Bold statement, incoming: It’s the best new horror series on TV, and there’s nothing else on quite like it. Read …

Dua Lipa Sues Samsung for Million for Using Her Face to Sell TVs

Dua Lipa Sues Samsung for $15 Million for Using Her Face to Sell TVs

Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the electronics company of using her likeness to sell TVs without her permission or compensating her. In a complaint filed on Friday in the Central District of California, the multi-Grammy winner is accusing the electronics company of “copyright infringement, trademark infringement and violation of her right of publicity in order to obtain redress for the massive, continuing, unauthorized commercial exploitation of her valuable image and likeness.” Lipa alleges that Samsung used a photo, which she owns the copyright to, that was taken backstage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2024 and displayed it on the packaging for various Samsung TVs since 2025. “Recognizing Ms. Lipa’s notoriety and goodwill, Samsung used a copyrighted image of Ms. Lipa without authority or license and prominently featured it on the front of cardboard boxes containing Samsung manufactured televisions for retail sale,” the suit states. The “Levitating” singer claims that Samsung has continued to profit off her likeness and refused to comply with her demands to stop using …

Best TVs for 2026: Expert Tested and Reviewed

The Sony Bravia 8 II is a new flagship OLED. David Katzmaier/CNET With all of the TVs available today, and all of the technical terms and jargon associated with television technology, it can be tough to figure out what’s important. Here’s a quick guide to help cut through the confusion. Picture quality: Broadly speaking, the type of display technology helps dictate how good a TV’s picture quality is, but OLED is typically the best display technology, and this is followed by LCD (including QLED, and Mini LED). OLED tends to have the best picture quality because it doesn’t need a backlight and every pixel can be either on or off, leading to great black levels. In comparison, each LED in a backlight looks after multiple pixels at a time so it isn’t as precise — it’s not yet 1:1. Among midrange models, look for a feature including full-array local dimming, mini-LED and 120Hz refresh rate, which (unlike some other extras) do help improve the picture in my experience. Additionally, If a TV uses Quantum Dots …
