The master makes movie magic once more! That’s how critics are reacting to Steven Spielberg‘s latest film, the sci-fi thriller Disclosure Day, which sees the legendary filmmaker return to the topic of extraterrestrial beings and the philosophical implications of our place in the universe. Disclosure Day tells the story of a U.S.-government led conspiracy to keep the existence of intelligent alien life a secret, and how those plans are upended by small determined group committed to “disclosing” the truth to a world on the brink of war and annihilation. The film stars Josh O’Connor, Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Wyatt Russell. Disclosure Day is written by Spielberg’s frequent collaborator David Koepp and the film’s creative team features Spielberg regulars like cinematographer Janusz Kaminski, editor Sarah Broshar and the great composer John Williams. Reviews for the Universal Pictures started the hitting the internet on June 9, with the film set for a full global theatrical release on June 12. Currently Disclosure Day sits at 84 percent on Rotten Tomatoes after 138 reviews. …

Goldie Hawn opened up about her long-lasting romance with The Madison star Kurt Russell, revealing that while they didn’t always agree or even share the same politics, they allowed each other to feel a sense of freedom in their relationship.  “When I say freedom, it means liberation. I don’t feel penned in,” she told People. “We don’t always agree on stuff, which is fine. We’re both very spontaneous. Kurt Russell shared how his latest role in The Madison was a perfect reflection of his life with his longtime love, Goldie Hawn, whom he has been dating since 1983. The 75-year-old spoke to Men’s Health about the series, which was created by the mind behind Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan. In the show, he portrays Preston Clyburn, the late husband of Michelle Pfeiffer’s Stacy Clyburn, whose untimely passing prompts Stacy to move from NYC to Montana.   “Some of the conversations that [Preston and Stacy] have, I’ve had,” Kurt told the publication. “Goldie and I have had very similar conversations. The second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is coming, which means Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell are back (kinda) together, playing character Colonel Lee Shaw at two different ages. The Apple TV series — which is part of Legendary’s Monsterverse — follows a secretive organization known as Monarch that monitors giant monsters, with season two unleashing Kong, Godzilla and mysterious new creature Titan X.
