Zack Polanski Accuses Nigel Farage Of Avoiding Debate

Farage said “if you pick a fight which a chimney sweep you get covered in soot” when asked whether he would take Polanski up on the offer. It comes after the Green Party leader knocked back the chance of a debate with Reform policy chief Zia Yusuf. Referring to Polanski’s support for drug legalisation, Farage added: “You know, he’s got a fan club. All the heroin smokers think he’s absolutely marvellous.” But Polanski told HuffPost UK: “Farage is running scared – he doesn’t want to talk about Reform’s super-rich backers, their Russia links, their plans to strip rights away from working people and to introduce charges to use the NHS.” The Greens are locked in a three-way battle with Reform and Labour in the crunch Gorton and Denton by-election, which takes place on February 26. Polanski added: “Farage knows that in Gorton and Denton, Labour are out of the race and Hannah Spencer is coming for Reform. “It’s no surprise Farage is hiding behind cheap jokes – he’s got nothing to gain and everything to …

Reform UK challenges Zack Polanski to TV debate ahead of by-election | Politics | News

Zia Yusuf has challenged Green leader Zack Polanski to a head-to-head debate in Manchester this week ahead of the crunch by-election. Reform UK’s head of policy insisted the Greens “owe it to the public to engage seriously on the substantive detail of your policy platform”. In a letter to Mr Polanski, Mr Yusuf said he would be campaigning in Gorton and Denton on Thursday and invited him to take part in a televised debate. It comes as the by-election is the constituency is expected to be a three-horse race between Labour, Reform and the Greens. Mr Yusuf said in his letter: “There is a by-election in Manchester where there is a weight of expectation that you will challenge Reform at the ballot box. “I will be there this coming Thursday, and I will even let you choose a moderator of your choice.” The Reform politician reeled off a series of Green policies including on immigration, defence and the economy. He said: “Your party ‘wants to see a world without borders’ and makes clear that ‘migration …

Can Zack Polanski’s anti-establishment message beat Nigel Farage on migration? | Politics News

Can Zack Polanski’s anti-establishment message beat Nigel Farage on migration? | Politics News

Zack Polanski might not appear the most natural ally of Reform voters. On migration – consistently one of the most important issues for Reform voters – the Green Party leader could not be further away from Nigel Farage. Where the Reform leader believes migration has damaged Britain and advocates for “mass deportations”, Mr Polanski views it as a positive thing that has benefitted the country. But in spite of that, Mr Polanski thinks he can win over Reform supporters. It seems a tall order, given the country’s hardening attitude towards migration and the bursts of public anger that has been seen over the use of asylum hotels – most notably in Epping. But the Green Party leader believes that what is really angering people – the cost of living crisis, wage stagnation, a lack of affordable housing – is not the fault of migration. He is convinced he can flip the script by highlighting the plight of migrants and by directing the public’s anger elsewhere – at billionaires, large corporations and the establishment. That is …

This animated mythology saga from Zack Snyder is the fantasy Netflix gem you missed

This animated mythology saga from Zack Snyder is the fantasy Netflix gem you missed

Among movie fans, Zack Snyder has a reputation for making hard-driving action spectacles that rock the faces off anyone who watches them. Think about the non-stop adrenaline rush of a movie like 300 or the grim sprawl of Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He likes slow motion, lens flares, and framing his characters like they’re powerful, unstoppable gods come to Earth. So why not make something about actual gods? Twilight of the Gods is (as yet) the only TV show Snyder has made, a one-season Netflix original that remixes elements of Norse mythology. And if you’re a fan of Snyder, action, or animation, it’s well worth a watch. Thor like you’ve never seen him before Norse myth meets rock and roll in Twilight of the Gods Twilight of the Gods starts with a typically violent setup: the human king Leif (Stuart Martin) and the warrior Sigrid (Sylvia Hoeks) fall in love in the heat of battle. They get married, but the Norse god Thor (Pilou Asbæk) crashes the party looking for the escaped god Loki (Paterson …

Zack Davies On The Traitors And Working In Parliament

Zack Davies On The Traitors And Working In Parliament

7 min read22 December If you work on the parliamentary estate and are a fan of a certain reality game show, you may have found yourself doing a double-take and wondering how you recognised a particular staffer. That would be Zack Davies – senior parliamentary assistant to a 2024 MP… and faithful star of The Traitors series two. We love to hear a fun backstory for someone working in Parliament, so sitting down with Zack was an absolute delight. Before we dive into everything Traitors… give me some background on what you do in Parliament. I’ve worked for five MPs across two years. I worked for an MP who then became a minister after the 2024 election, then helped a few new MPs set up their offices, and have been with my current boss for two months as her senior parliamentary assistant. So I’ve constantly had to build new relationships, new friendships with the MPs I’m working with, but I really enjoy that part of the job. Had you wanted to work in Parliament for a while? Yes. Before this I …

Zack Polanski Criticises Labour Over Immigration Stance

Zack Polanski Criticises Labour Over Immigration Stance

Last week, when Home Office Minister Mike Tapp fired off his crass “deport, deport, deport” tweet, he wasn’t trying to fix a broken system, he was talking directly to voters Labour have lost to Reform. He thought he was being tough. And yes, I’m sure Labour strategists smirked. But millions of people across this country weren’t amused. They were horrified. Because this is not leadership. It is cruelty. Cheap, dangerous, divisive cruelty aimed at the people with the least power. And when I called it out, Tapp threw more playground insults around and called me a communist. That’s McCarthyism. That bleak, paranoid era when smearing people replaced making arguments. That’s where Labour is now. And of course, all of this bile comes as Westminster prepares for next week’s Budget. Another opportunity for Labour, Reform, and the Conservatives to talk about how they are standing up for ordinary people all while “asking” them to pay more and allowing the very wealthiest to get richer and richer. It’s grotesque. I obviously disagree with them, but I get …
