Those old Getty images and moodboards are translating into real-world sales. Instagram vintage resale shops like Rummage Stretch, run by Isabella O’Day, have taken off, providing fashionistas with carefully sourced older sportswear and retro-style items, as well as heaps of moodboards and celebrity inspiration, to help them break out of the monotonous mould. When Sateinstein wrote her Substack post eight months ago, Rummage Stretch had little over 100 followers. Now it has over 9,000, and several other resale accounts have cropped up in its wake.
