Electric kettles sold at Costco and HomeGoods have been recalled due to concerns that hot contents could spill during use, posing a burn risk.
Zwilling J. A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft has recalled about 113,440 of its Enfinigy 1.5-l and Enfinigy Pro 1.5-l electric kettles, according to a May 14 notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall came after the firm received five reports of incidents in connection with the kettle’s handle separating, including one second-degree burn. The CPSC said there have been 163 reports of the products’ hand grip detaching and loosening.
The kettles were sold at HomeGoods stores nationwide and online at zwilling.com for between $120 and $200 from December 2019 to February 2026, as well as at Costco stores between September 2019 and November 2025.
The recall covers Zwilling Enfinigy Kettle Pro models in various colours, including black, silver, rose, gold and pure white. Affected model numbers include 53101-200, 53101-201, 53101-500, 53101-501, 53101-502, 53101-503 and 53101-504.

They can also be identified via Zwilling ID numbers 1021174 (silver) and 1021203 (black), and Costco item numbers 1773073 and 1773101.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled kettles immediately and contact Zwilling for a refund. Shoppers can visit www.zwilling.com/kettle-recall for instructions on how to make the kettle unusable, which includes unplugging the kettle and cutting the cord, according to the CPSC. Afterwards, the items can be thrown away.
The kettles are among the many products that have been recalled by the CPSC across the U.S. in recent months. Earlier this week, the Agio-Menlo Woven Patio Swing, sold exclusively at Costco stores and online, was recalled after eight reports of the seat detaching from the swing frame, causing injuries to the head and arms.
About 18,500 units of the recalled swing were sold between February 2026 and March 2026. The patio furniture has a serial number of 1934256 and costs between $549 and $649.
Last month, more than 200,000 pairs of heated socks were recalled after 14 incidents were reported, with 13 involving first or second-degree burns. The garments, branded as 32 Degrees Heated Socks, were on sale at Costco stores and online from August 2025 to March 2026.

When worn during high-intensity activities that generate friction, heat, moisture and pressure, the socks could pose “an injury hazard including burns,” the CPSC said.
Also last month, about 740,000 sets of Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue stainless steel sauté pans, sold at Costco, Walmart and Amazon, were recalled, after nearly 100 reports about the metal cap on the screw, connecting the pan to the handle, detaching. The pans were sold in a two-piece set between August 2021 and February 2026 for around $40.
