“After a diagnosis of covid leading to severe laryngitis, I’m so sorry to have to reschedule next week’s shows,” she wrote on her social media account.

“A visit to my doctor for a scope of my vocal cords has confirmed the news and I wanted to tell you as soon as I could. It breaks my heart having to reschedule these shows. There is no place I would rather be next week than celebrating with all of you.”

Her shows have been rescheduled until November 6 and November 7 in Waukegan, Illinois, and Wilmington, Ohio, respectively.

LeAnn Rimes’ health troubles

In January, the country music star revealed she had undergone a procedure to “clean” her blood of mold and microplastics.

“I demand so much from my body and it’s incredibly important to me to take the best care of it I possibly can,” she explained to fans at the time.

LeAnn, who raises stepchildren Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, with her husband Eddie Cibrian, booked into the Next Health medical clinic in Nashville for the unusual treatment, which costs up to $45,000.

The procedure, often referred to as a form of therapeutic apheresis, removes the liquid portion of blood, filtering out toxins, antibodies, and inflammatory agents and subsequently replacing it with fresh plasma.

It’s been a tricky time for poor LeAnn, who was left alarmed when her dental bridge fell out mid-performance last year. The incident occurred at the Skagit Valley Casino & Resort in Bow, Washington.

She said on Instagram at the time: “We’re going to do a little story time about how the show must go on. And this is the most epic example of how the show must go on.

“So last night, I was on stage in the middle of One Way Ticket. I feel something pop in my mouth. And if you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries, and I have a bridge in the front. It fell out in the middle of my song last night.”
