Best Disney+ shows – originals and returning favourites

If you’re faced with Disney+’s mammoth catalogue and don’t know where to start when it comes to choosing a new TV show to watch, we’re here to help.

Racy drama Rivals, based on Jilly Cooper’s Rutshire-based novel, is back for a long-awaited second season, so now’s a great time to dive in if you’ve yet to sample its delights. Starring David Tennant, Aidan Turner, Alex Hassell, Katherine Parkinson and Danny Dyer, there are power struggles, romance and fierce rivalries aplenty in the cutthroat world of commercial television.

You could try The Artful Dodger, which reimagines Dickens’s pickpocket as an adult in 1850s Australia, now a gifted surgeon. When Fagin returns, he’s pulled back into crime, blending historical drama, heists, romance and wit in a swaggering series led by Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

If you’re after a bit more tension, you could do little better than Paradise, the political thriller where a Secret Service agent (Sterling K Brown) investigates a president’s murder inside a seemingly perfect community hiding devastating secrets.

For something a bit different, there’s Peter Jackson’s The Beatles: Get Back, a series in which footage filmed for the band’s Let It Be documentary is re-edited for a fascinating celebration of their studio magic — and that final, rooftop concert.

Meanwhile, nostalgia fans, your eyes do not deceive you: classic comedies Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle really are back for new episodes. They’re both among the latest of this year’s must-watch Disney+ exclusives, following in the footsteps of Marvel’s Wonder Man and welcome returns for A Thousand Blows and Tell Me Lies.

If you’re still unsure what to watch next, scroll on for more on these titles and many others, as we present the best shows on Disney+ to watch now.

While there are are many excellent blogs devoted to the topics of faith, humanism, atheism, political viewpoints, and wider kinds of rationalism and philosophical doubt, those are not the only focus here.Im going to blog about what ever comes to my mind in a day.
